The story I heard about RES ending was that two of the guys in the band would get into actual physical fights on a regular basis. This is coming from someone who said they spoke to Satsuki personally. I believe that this person spoke to him, but I don’t necessarily believe Satsuki’s story.
-
I’ll reserve final judgment for when I get the actual CD tomorrow. iTunes files don’t always sound the greatest.

God is dead

Someone did promise to tell stories of why Satsuki is looked down upon by so many people, but I forget who it was. I think it was on the thread for his new album.

I know I don’t, but it’s nowhere near as bad as Traces Vol. 2

“U” is next to “i” and even in 2018 I struggle with touch screen keyboards. As for “bero”, I’m just going by what’s on US iTunes. I don’t like some of the heaviest tracks because they sound so much like other heavy Gazette tracks. And despite Ruki’s vocal skills, I don’t think he’s that creative with melodies or phrasing, so it’s usually his fault when a song sounds just like another Gazette song.

SONGS I LIKE Utsusemi Uragiri Bero Unfinished (all the “u” tracks apparently) SONGS I DO NOT LIKE Gush Babylon’s Taboo Two of a Kind Abhor God Everything else just is what it is.

Unfinished ends on a fade out. How clever. Still a banging song though. As of right now I’ll say Ninth has more variety than Dogma, but I’m not necessarily sure if I like it more than Dogma. Utsusemi is strong as fuck, and when Uragiri Bero turns into late 90s VK for a second with Uruha doing the old school “flicka flicka” guitar thing, that makes that entire song. At 43 minutes it’s also easier to digest than the average Gazette album, so that works on its favor too. Overall though, yeah, a lot of this is typical Gazette.

Yeah it’s kind of sad really. I love CDJapan’s immaculate packaging with the trademark green paper. I started to get worried when my copy of Vestige of Scratches didn’t arrive until weeks after release, and I ordered it the day it was announced.
-
I ordered from Amazon Japan and I got an email saying it will be here tomorrow. I even got a text from DHL with a link that allowed me to authorize the delivery so they can just leave it without a signature.
-
So far this is less Dogma and more... everything else from the past decade? Utsusemi is the shit though.
-
Turns out this is the limited edition. Regular version comes in a standard jewel case.
-
Well we heard almost ten minutes of it!
-
Yeah, the preview video says who performs on each song.
-
I’ve noticed lately that I’ve been getting orders from them a lot later than usual. I hate to switch because I’ve been ordering from CDJapan for over a decade, but I’m going to try Amazon Japan to see how that goes.
-
Pretty much this. 99.999 being every SE mashed together is like them saying “get ready to hear a bunch of shit you’ve heard before!”
-
Are there even any founding members left? oh wait, the one on the right is Ryu. I guess he’s the only one.
-
Having a hard time believing that scream is real. Regardless, this dude is gonna rip his voice to shreds in a couple years.
-
And the way he sings half of a line and sounds winded.
-
It’s from the Mode of Withering to death tour. It’s almost like he’s emulating his shitty live vocals from that era.
-
You say dumb shit when you’ve got your nose wrapped up and your oxygen supply is limited.
-
Then they wouldn’t be fangirlies!

Or Ruki can stop being such a dictator. I mean, going by the songs the other guys have written, it’s not like they’re writing polka or country music. Maybe Ruki should have taken his EDM and R&B influences elsewhere? I don’t know. Anyway I thought Kai was “leader-sama”. What’s the deal with that?
-
I will keep repeating this: Aoi wrote Yoin, which is one of my absolute favorite Gazette songs. Thank god Ruki wasn’t an idiot about that one.
