Cool, thanks. While I was searching, I skipped over that performance because I thought it would be too obvious, funnily enough.
-
@Seelentau you'll probably know what I'm talking about. Wasn't there a performance from ~97 where they did a fakeout with the intro to I'll but transitioned immediately into ZAN and played for about ten minutes?
-
These are absolutely live songs. I'm more than okay with that.
-
Yep, Uroboros. Now that's an album.

What gets me is this: take a look at his kit. How much of it does he actually use when it matters most? He's very creative when songs are slow to mid-tempo, but as soon as things speed up he gets tunnel vision.

I remember people complaining about Shinya doing his Shinya thing on last.fm when Dozing Green first came out. This has been going on for a long, long time.

I laughed so hard when the Vinushka part came in around 5:30. Similar tempo and riff and everything. They did it again! I do have to say the last minute and a half of the track is fantastic though. Also acoustic Dozing Green is tons of fun. That gets a few thumbs up from me. But why is it so short? It's over before you know it.

Just think of all the things that can happen in 22 seconds.

Joe Rogan Experience #1337 - DIR EN GREY
-
Depends on whether we will "feel the pain of human existance" or "feel the speed". Regardless, I do believe this will have a "new sound unimaginable and unlike any music created by the band DIR EN GREY before". Yes, I'm ready for another melodramatic press release.

Kyo's a big movie nerd, simple as.
-
Ah, the old Theseus's Ship experiment. All I can say is I'm very curious to hear where they go next.
-
Dozing Green acoustic? I'm interested.
-
I... I think that's a metaphor for the band as a whole.
-
The artwork and graphic design on these FROM DEPRESSION TO releases have all been top notch.

Whatever happened to Klaha being a used car salesman? I remember jokes about it from years ago but now it seems all records have been scrubbed from the internet. That said, Juka is fine too, I guess.
-
I'd like to meet Klaha so I can get great value on a used car.

Electronic instrumentation is all fine and well, but my issue with this album is the songwriting itself. The ballads are the only tracks to really stand out to me so far because they have the most interesting writing. Most of these tracks come off to me as studio experimentation. This is after just one listen, mind you.
-
The electronic wall of sound stuff was cool in Adoration when it was used for breakdowns and climaxes, but with it essentially being flipped for Infinitum many of these tracks feel directionless. There are some bits that are almost industrial and I wish they would’ve gone all in on that.
-
At least they're transparent about it being a B-sides collection.
-
It was a matter of time I suppose. Are there any single tracks that redeem the thing?
-
Loving the split opinions.

Heisei is a good song but what the hell is going on with this production? Feels like I'm listening to four different lossy tracks downloaded from Limewire and panned in all sorts of different directions. If this 4D experience is the future of music, then I quit.

Are you sure it's an album and not a music collection?
