There will be a lot of people that would disagree probably. I, myself have only seen the first season of it so I haven't experienced the Endless Eight. But that's basically because I'm lazy. Yes it is good though but not, in my opinion, the best.

I did recently buy and read the first novel though, and it was basically the same as the anime so that means they did make a good adaption. Which was good and makes me want to buy the next one too.

I really liked Haruhi until the second season, it was just so repetitive. I still can't believe I watched those episodes... Pointless. I will give the movie a shot, but if they ever make another season I doubt I'll watch it.
