[Technical Death Metal] Anata

Anata is a technical death metal band from Varberg, Sweden that formed in 1993.

To date, they have released two demos, four albums and a split album with Bethzaida. In 2005, they completed recordings for an album titled The Conductor's Departure, released in June 2006 on Earache Records/Wicked World Records. Anata have toured Europe with death metal acts such as Dismember, Decapitated, Rotting Christ, and Psycroptic. In 2006 Anata played at Maryland Deathfest, Baltimore, their first US appearance to date. Anata have also performed at festivals in Europe such as Fuck the Commerce, Neurotic Deathfest, and Gothenburg Deathfest.

Used to like them when I was 12 or something. Can't stand them today though. Only technical Death Metal band that's better than "annoying, shitty garbage" is Death, which was amazing.

I listened to their The Conductor's Departure album a long time ago, and liked that one! But haven't really listened to them since. Still, I remember it was good stuff.

They is okay, no one will ever bear Cryptopsy(R.I.P 1992-2007) at Tech Death especially the None So Vile album.

Oh fuck, I forgot about Cryptopsy. Blasphemy Made Flesh is their best, though. TEH production. Oh my God!

Anata are not bad. They try not to sound too mechanical, like most of the other technical Death Metal Bands. I like the melodic Leads very much. But they will never reach anywhere near the Quality of Bands like Death, Cynic or Atheist.

(And they look like a Bunch of pathetic Emos. *lol*)
