JRD 5156 Posted October 20, 2010 So basically my brother got me malware when i was away at the DMV. I ran Malwarebytes, spybot, avg and yet the problem persist. I used Hijackthis and it doesnt give me a definite answer. I get redirected from search to some fake web search crap, which i do not like cause i use search engines often. I really do not want to reformat because im running on 7 and i dont have an OS atm, and do not know anyone who has one. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Malwarebytes usually did it for it for me though, but if you're saying it's persistent GET YOUR COMPUTER FIXED. I'm pretty sure you can find a local computer store to help you; half of the time they install some really good programs on it, so that it won't be a recurring problem. I got mine completely cleaned for 26$. Seeing as how you're from Cali, I'll also let you know that the school attendance ladies, that I assist at school, mentioned something about OfficeMax (or Depot) checking and cleaning computers for free? Not sure though never bothered to go and ask. (Recommended ONLY if you think you can do it yourself) Visit Malwarebytes Forum, there are tons of people that can help you there.
