Pandabear 414 Posted May 17, 2013 Ghost in the Shell: Arise is a film series that serves as a reimagining of Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell. The films, a four-part series, feature new character designs and is directed by Kazuchika Kise, screenplay by Tow Ubukata, and music by Cornelius. The first of the films (referred to as "Borders") in the series, subtitled Ghost Pain, is scheduled for limited cinematic release in Japan on June 22, 2013. I'm curious to see how these films will turn out. From the looks of things, they gave back some of the grittier animation of the 90's original film. All the voice actors have been replaced in the Japanese version, but I wonder if they'll stick to the same voice cast in the English version. And I would have loved to have Yoko Kanno do the music again. At the very least I hope this lives up to the standard the TV series has. 1 -timecapsule- reacted to this
