Sadly they split up recently, and now put their music up free of charge...

it's frightening how good they are, they manage to combine very complex sounds, electronics, weird voices and an awesome rock flair into some extremely listenable mixture that is partyable as fuck, while maintaining a circus-like flamboyant glam live-performance, sheesh they were fun

Skynet put their debut album up for free. Modern metal with some djenty guitars and growls/nice cleans. Good stuff.

I've been listening to Circle Takes The Square a lot, I mentioned them earlier on, and I've been looking for similar kinds of bands. Think kind of post-rock/metal and progressive metal with almost chilling screams and shouts that just transport you into a world that, to me, is in a constant apocalyptic state. I don't know how else to describe the vocals but I really like them on this style of music > <

Anyway I found a band called Locktender and all of their stuff is available for free download, more info on their bandcamp

http://locktender.bandcamp.com

you'll probably know whether you'll like them or not on first listen (and if you do go listen to ctts NOW)

oh and the best part...apparently 'philosophercore' is a thing now O_O

Prog/art-rock band Napokon has their new album up for free or however much you wanna pay on Bandcamp. Their sound reminds me of a mashup of '90s grunge, elements of Tool and lots of atmospheric feeling, quite nice.

(song not from current album)

Also, "progressive indie"/post-rockish band The Hostages Went Home (that name, love it) has their new one up there, as well as all their previous releases. Nice female-fronted stuff.

instrumental Post-Rock/Metal 4-Piece "Barrows" has their second full concept-album "Red Giant" for free/paywhatyouwant on Bandcamp.

this thing is Recorded and Prduced by Toshi Kasai and Dale Crower of The Melvins and was heavily featured on several Rock/Metal News-sites and it's easy to see why, it's simply a stupendously good album

just as a reminder, their previous effort "Imprecari Island", which i like even better and which was posted here before is also still availible for nameyourprice

last.fm || Bandcamp || Soundcloud

Random search for music and this came up, and enjoyed it, so I thought I'd share. Most of his work is free/name your price on Bandcamp with Google mirrors. It reminds me of some of ventla's works, and 80s music.

Apparently this is a genre called 'vaporwave'.

Tokyo label INTERACT RECORDS (focusing on hardcore music) has a handful of "INTERACT COLLECTIVE" compilations up for totally free at their Bandcamp. An impressive array of random obscure HC bands, about 1/3 Japanese stuff.

(5 compilations = more than 150 tracks ayyy xD)

Haven't seen this posted yet but it's No Machine (members from: The Dillinger Escape Plan, North Korea, Happy Body Slow Brain) give all their music away for free so far.

There's a german visual kei band called VII-arc.

Their entire discography can be downloaded for free. You just need to go here, choose the release you want, then put your e-mail address and there you go ("Deprivation of time" can be downloaded song by song only). Buuuuuuut, if you don't want to deal with this bummer (you can unsubscribe from their mailing list as well), I re-uploaded their releases on a Mega folder.
