whitegrey 115 Posted December 23, 2012 1 week is pretty short... you propably need a few days to get used to the city (moving around/transportation, people, maybe add jetlag). If there's a chance I'd suggest to add a few days. Are you travelling alone or do you have somebody with you (or over there) to make things easier? As for ideas: depends on what you're interested in... there are "classics" like Tokyo Tower (now it would be Tokyo Skytree), Ueno Park, Tsukiji and other stuff - you can get a good overview at http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2164.html for example... it really depends on what you'd like to see. Some people want to see the older parts of the culture, some want to see youth culture, some want to travel around a bit. I was usually just wandering around in different districts and in the evening I've attended concerts - that was enough for my part (I'll save the "tourist-culture" stuff for later in my life)...
