He managed to break the sound barrier while in free fall from the edge of space and I'll be damned if it wasn't the coolest things I have ever watched.

He was spinning around like crazy before getting a steady descend xD

What I kinda did find strange was that he didn't stay as long in his freefall as Kissinger did 50 years ago... You would say that he could stay longer in his free fall being about 9km higher... But then again, dropping at around 1400km/h down to earth (which is around 22km/minute ) might be a too high a speed to get enough momentum to launch the parachute...

yeah, I thought that was weird. I kind of expected him to break that record, but I suppose it makes sense when you look at it that way. I thought that was really cool that Kissinger was talking to him the entire time.

and then also his visor was foggin up, so maybe he launched it because he couldn't see shit and didn't know how far he was from the ground...

He wanted Kissinger to keep the record to him, or so Felix says. It could be since they were chatting during the ascension via radio.

I don't think the visor thing should be a problem since he was in constan communication with the ground staff.
