Rize 1593 Posted October 28, 2011 Hi! I just wondering where you easily can get Japanese/Korean music legal. Itunes won't sadly work for me so I'm looking for other websites, any suggestions? I already found HearJapan... ^^ Need the paypal-payment methode, other payment methodes won't work for me either.. xD Thanks in advance!
Kaye 296 Posted October 28, 2011 Korea: Mnet Bugs Dosirak/Olleh Daum Melon and a few others I've forgotten at the moment (that's what you get when you write for a Korean Entertainment website)

Champ213 1858 Posted October 28, 2011 CD Baby has a huge number of japanese artists and a few korean ones as well. They are specialized on independent artists, so it may not carry what you're looking for, but it's worth a try, I guess.
Rize 1593 Posted October 30, 2011 /\ Thanks! both links are very useful^^ Btw, does anyone also know how to buy Digital singles from CLJ records on their website (colesseum Online shop)? I'm quite unsure what will happen after I paid for a digital single, will there be a link send to my e-mail or something? o.O?
CAT5 9075 Posted October 30, 2011 Emusic carries some Japanese music, but their selection is pretty random. They're quite cheap, though http://www.emusic.com/ Ototoy is a digital music site that accepts foreign credit cards, but they focus on non-VK indie releases http://ototoy.jp/music/ I haven't tried this site, but I've heard that foreigners can use it too. You'll have to check for yourself, though.... http://listen.jp/store/
Kaye 296 Posted October 30, 2011 thanks a lot Kaye, gonna have a look on these.^^ Np! and apparently you also can buy songs through cyworld. But I'm not sure how that works. Haha Soribada has a Korean and an English/International version. But the English version does not have everything, and is late with releases.

I haven't really come across any good japanese online mp3 store that allow you to buy without credit card. I really wish there was because I don't have a credit card either and I'm not planning to get one. But usually only Us/European stores like HearJapan, CD Baby etc. offer Paypal. I don't really know why japanese stores in general are so reluctant about using Paypal. Anyway, another thing you can try is to check our your regional version of Amazon. I bought a few japanese mp3s there in the past. They don't offer Paypal, but bank transfer. Since you have Paypal, I assume you have your own bank account, so this should work for you as well. Yeah, it's quite sad that the English version doesn't have everything, but it's better than nothing, thanks a lot! ^^
