Well, if you want me to consider it literally, "kei" doesn't actually mean anything other than to show that "visual" is the style. So the only thing "VK" actually refers to is really just the "V". Lol. But considering your REAL question, I think the fact that they're "visual" bands really creates the scene. Not in a sense that they care more about the visual part than the music part (which I think isn't true for many of them), but I think it really influences the whole attitude and appeal of the scene. I like how a lot of bands (or maybe just some?) feel free to experiment with different sounds and styles, and similarly influence others this way, because their scene is not strictly defined based on a certain musical style, but rather because they're "visual". And also, it's nice how the visual part of what they're doing may inspire their music. I think it's more about not limiting their imagination (and if you think of it that way, many musicians who are not "visual kei" are doing the same thing). I don't really care if a "VK" band isn't actually visual in the sense of wearing theatrical costume, crossdressing, & make-up and whatnot (e.g. Waive). But it's nice that they're in a pretty awesome rock scene. (And it's pretty awesome how open they are about androgyny and the emotions/attitudes related to it).

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this before, but when I was looking around for amber gris kanji lyrics, I found this page http://blog.livedoor.jp/hentai_life/arc ... 83177.html This person seems to think that 「上空8000ft-少年??天国??届?????-?? is a reference to a song by another visual band called Atmos*Note with the title 「少年??空??届??????/1000ft?? Just a nice thought of what amber gris's influences might be And I shall go download their stuff 8D

I've been thinking of starting a romaji + translation project of some amber gris (and Chemical Pictures) lyrics However, I don't have Shoujo no Cuore single (sigh, why didn't I get it when I could have?) So perhaps it would be nice if someone has the kanji But I do have 「上空８??????ｆｔ?? and Child Forest. Has anyone translated any of those?

^ Um.. the track titles are different, so unless you mean "same tracks"= "stuff that sound like their usual stuff", then no, I don't think it is I'm going to check first on what record label they're releasing this. If it's major, forget it (because I thought that's what the whole parting with Aoi was about). But if it's not, as you said, I still have some hope. (Yume sings in his session band with Kenzo & Soan, but I've never listened to their stuff).

Is he still using the name "葵 from 彩冷??る"? like, the whole phrase as his name? -___- I feel kinda bad about this, but can't help but think that it's... shady D: As if AYABIE and Aoi (or at least his major record label) are going to have some kind of lawsuit fighting over the name 彩冷??る . Just a bad gut feeling. Oh yea, and about his manly-looking new PV, I had always felt that Aoi has a really girly side/body language (e.g. his laugh), but he seems like he's always fighting against himself to hide it and stay cool-looking.
