  1. here's a question for you boys 'n gals.

I've noticed on a recent picture showing Yoshiki's drumkit the drumheads are no more than TAMA's factory ones.

I mean come on, does Yoshiki even take care of his own sound?

I've always noticed his kit sounds damn crappy for a band like his but I thought that was because the kit was acrylic.

  2. oh yeah, I second that last statement of Tony's.

I fear for my own brain after listening to the whole thing.

it's not like I'm easy to break but it's DIR EN GREY's most weird release we're talking about.

although I couldn't get into their last experimental shit which is Kisou.

I believe in DUM SPIRO SPERO.

and I suggest a new flickin' music genre - DUM Metal :)

yeah, yeah that was fangirlish, fuck me.

  3. I LOVE long stuff. it always tells the whole story while short tracks sound like cut right at the start to me. it's also easier to work while listening to something long.

    my personal favorites:

Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (09:56)

Nightwish - The Poet And The Pendulum (13:54)

Metallica - The Call Of Ktulu (Off S&M) (09:34)

Metallica - The Outlaw Torn (Off S&M) (09:58)

Marilyn Manson - I Want To Kill You Like They Do In The Movies (09:01)

DIR EN GREY - VINUSHKA (09:37)

    Slipknot - Iowa (15:03)

Deep Purple - Space Truckin' (off Live In Japan) (20:00 approx.)

    X Japan - The Last Song (11:33)

X Japan - Art Of Live (Live) (34:07)

  4. if I were a girl these guys would make me all wet.

although they actually got me DAMN wet on the Moscow show last year, but this was all because of CRAZY heat in and outside the venue.

  5. out of all three singles off DUM SPIRO SPIRO the last one is my favorite. I flickin' love it when the guys get insane like this. though LOTUS was kind of 'o_O weird' for me I really love this new HEAVY sound. DIR EN GREY sound a lot like Europe to me now. which makes sense to me since TMOAB sounded like US. also it's nice to hear the boys not forgetting where are they from.

    now, for the single itself

DIFFERENT SENSE - 11/10 FLICKIN' BUZZIN' GREAT. ROAR.

Tsumi To Kisei - 7/10 still trying to get into this DUM metal but seem to like it.

RED SOIL - 5/10 liked the song but nothing more.

  6. Kaoru said that those singled-out tracks are 'the most catchy and easy-listening' ones on the album. I'm not waiting for a mass-oriented stuff. this is gonna be epic.

  7. sup guys.

obviously I'm new to the board.

I use lots of perverted t-tubby userpics so there will be no problem finding me if needed.

I'm from Kazakhstan (don't mention Borat with me around), of age, working, playing drums in a local band.. usual stuff.

my English isn't that good so please don't make fun of it :)

joined to follow my favorite bands and improve my language while socializing.

nice to see you all :domo:
