Funny coincidence, I was just about to post that I'm reading it. I haven't finished the book yet, I only started on Saturday, but so far it's good. Great even. If you like high fantasy, I'd say the odds are you're going to like it. The world is well-made, and although some of the longer "lore" passages seem a bit forced to me, overall the book really is pretty captivating.

    Awesome samples, can't wait.

9GBO's Devils in Bedside was already mentioned, but I'd say it deserves another mention. The band seemed to have a really clear idea of what they wanted do from the get-go. They have their immediately recognisable style which hasn't really changed, simply because there's no need. Pretty much the perfect debut for a band, and I'm really sad to see them go. Another debut that I thinks deserves to be noted is DELUHI's Surveillance. 9Goats managed to top their debut, DELUHI never really did, and that's not to say they released only bad stuff since it -- I enjoyed quite a few of their singles and liked the second mini a lot. Still, Surveillance is the one release that felt so refreshing a vk release at the time (It could've been just the other stuff I had been listening to, though), and man, is it catchy or what?

I want to know who this AJ/@iamnotshouting dude is before I believe anything.

What?! I was sure they'd continue for a while after they actually returned from a hiatus. Sure, we'll still be getting an album. It will be amazing and will make me even more annoyed about them disbanding. So, in the end, fuck this. I'm very unhappy right now. Worst news of 2012™.

i think those are seconds and they roughly translate to 20 days... I don't think they're seconds either : P It's hours-minutes-seconds, so 177 hours or about a week.
  7. I know! I mean, Metro 2033 and Dear Esther were both ~2€ (2.49 and 1.99 respectively). That's like, what, the price of a large bottle of Pepsi. I almost bought the Civilization pack as well, it was so cheap (~25, the original price being 125). I've never had the patience to learn how to play Civs properly, so I managed to resist the urge to buy it after all. Oh, and who says you can't play games on Linux? My Ubuntu PC runs all the games above pretty damn well on wine. The only problems I've had so far is a guy with a shining hat in Stacking, mouse stutter in menus in Metro (which in not even a Wine problem, but a problem in the game itself) and Borderlands chat input not working -- Steam chat works, so it doesn't really matter.

I don't think they accept PayPal, though.
  9. Borderlands GOTY Stacking Metro 2033 Dear Esther Fallout NV Ultimate (It was cheaper than just buying the DLCs...) I got off surprisingly easy! Mostly because I missed some stuff. I just might still pick up something, though. I can't believe I bought both Torchlight and the two first seasons of Sam & Max from GOG.com just few weeks before the sales. They would've been like 50% cheaper had I waited and bought them from Steam instead. Oh, and one achievement away from the full badge ;__; I missed one whole day's worth of the sale polls.
  10. (Internet investigation commencing) Rehn. Here's his Twitter (and here's Yohio's: 1) 10 000 followers? Lol. & 2) Oh god that theme is burning my eyes out). He has played in Angtoria and is apparently guitarist in Corroded, which I haven't heard of before. EDIT: Typo.
  11. That Core version is not only freakishly expensive, but also SO COOL I WANT IT GAH!!
  12. DeIdeal

D::::: I liked them a lot, even though I haven't really been listening to them that much lately.
  13. DeIdeal

They've done stuff that's more like traditional black / doom metal, if that's what you're into. Imaginary Sonicscape, maybe Hangman's Hymn and the most recent album, In Somniphobia are indeed very avant-garde, but some of the earlier albums don't have the saxophone etc. in them. Try the first full-length, Scorn Defeat, for example. It's somewhat unpolished, but very different from the avant-garde-stuff. Not that much like Diru, though, so I don't think it's what you're looking for here.

^ Jigsaw9 already recommended their releases to bukimi_heishi on the second page: From their classic/old-school albums: La Vie en Rose From the post-reunion stuff: Lazzaro

I don't post pictures of myself here, but I do look very exhausted all the time. So yeah, I guess this is "a phlegmatic/tired country :("
