Oh, I guess I should add more Japanese bands I've never actually tried:
Glay, Acid Black Cherry, Psycho Le Cemu, Dead End, Base Ball Bear, Kagerou, Kagrra,, Vasalla (although, I don't think they were all that big), Hide's anything but X, Buck-Tick, After Image, Janne da Arc, Siam Shade, NoGod (aside from their Kakusei single), ....does Sel'm count?

I recently listened to Kagerou . OMG did I miss out on some music. Too bad He passed away.
Hmm. Let's see. X Japan, Luna Sea, BUCK-TICK, MUCC (although I believe I once listened to and liked one track from them, I just can't seem to recall the song...), Moi Dix Mois, GACKT, Kaggra,, Glay, Acid Black Cherry, Janne Da Arc, Siam Shade, Psycho Le Cemu, Dead End, Tokyo Jihen, Dir en grey (only listened to UROBOROS and their latest release I guess, though I don't remember much of it)... that's all I can think of. I'm sure there's a lot more, but I'm too lazy cause they're tooo much to handle.
For Kagrra,, Miyako and San are their best albums.

I've also never heard anything by cali≠gari, but I am kinda interested in them . . .
For cali gari I recommend dai 5 jikkenshitsu (Shuuji n°1), dai 7 jikkenshitsu (Shuuji n°2) and 11 (latest release).

For my own personal list:
though I own WTD by Dir en Grey, I never really tried them as it's not really my kinda music. Got that album with a total package.
Almost all bands that had an oricon hit actually, I listened to a lil'bit of AKFG, Spitz, and Orange Range but never enough to really know what they sound like...
I just uploaded most of Spitz' discography here because there only was a broken link for Togemaru on MH.
I'd recommend CYCLE HITS (Best of), Souvenir (11th album) and Togemaru (13th album) as a start.

It will be sent for around the 14th, March 2013 but it is possible to preorder it from today onwards. I preordered it right away, of course, so get ready for some awesome cali gari goodness in March next year !

Btw for the special gig, Genshoku Elegant and Shinjuku Elekitel were videos shown on a giant screen.
While we're on it I applied for the FC last Sunday after the gig, and got some high quality wallpapers from the fanclub member page. Anyone interested ?

Just saw that, I totally forgot it was today. So they'll be back on misshitsu neurose for their indies label I guess, that's really cool ! But not really a surprise, I was sure they would use a trick like that.

Didn't they already announce that last year, when they said on 2011.03.14 (when FC was supposed to be terminated) that they would be around for one more year ? Isn't it another stunt so that new people can get into the FC ?
It doesn't really looks like they're going to disband, seeing how they have been trying to appeal to a much larger audience in the past months.

Ao and Ishii are quite anal about the cali≠gari stuff, somehow it really depends on the video but live dvds are out of the question, especially their new stuff.

Being true to my title, I found a way to acquire the new FC-limited DVD BOX !!
It will be sent to the FC members in March, and the kind FC member who is helping me getting it will then send it to me, so chances are high I will get it around April.

Yep, seems like they're recording something, but I'm wondering if they'll sell it by normal means or it wil be distributed/sold only at the v-rock festival.
Also a new dvd box for the fan club and they'll give out new recordings of a couple of songs during the fall tour.

I had that with the vids from the DVD box set cali gari sold to the fanclub only. The flag request actually came from the band members (namely Ao and Ishii) and not the label. I had uploaded a couple of the vids (5 for each of the lives in the dvd box) instead of sharing the whole box, but when they flagged the vids and I had to delete it I just thought "FUCK IT !" and shared the whole box here and there.
I see the point from an Intellectual Property Rights point of view, but come on ! It's not like everybody could buy the dvd box, it was sold only to the fc so normal people are not even allowed to have a glimpse of the lives ? The funny thing is, yt users who upload their MVs or a couple of songs from their other live DVDs are fine, but if ANYONE re-uploads one of the songs I originally uploaded of this DVD box it is down in the following month... It's like they have a friggin' bounty hunter looking for these vids.

La'royque de Zavy will be one of the bands playing at V-rock festival on the 23rd of october ! Hope there is a live stream or they will do a video out of that, I so want to see them live playing in La'royque X)Awesome :v
Something tells me they're not going to do a livestream of a festival that costs 11000 yen per ticket though XD
Well it really depends. There has been a lot of streaming for lives lately, and jack in the box was streamed on niconico douga this year (you had to buy net tickets for the stream though).

Btw I became friends with a very good friend of Sadie pink galaxy and Shuuji, and he told me that Shuuji thinks of putting XA-VAT aside for the time being and concentrating once more on cali gari, so they're probably going to stick around for a few more years
