EAT YOU ALIVE, Malice Mizer, D'espairsRay, Phantasmagoria, DEATHGAZE, and surprisingly Girugamesh I learned a lot from Kami from Malice Mizer, bless his soul. EAT YOU ALIVE had that western influence that sounded so natural. D'espairsRay had that scary Korn sound that I could not find anywhere else. Phantasmagoria is just great. DEATHGAZE, especially the early days was satisfyingly brutal. Girugamesh was awesome until the NOW album, got turned off after that, and got me hooked again on their final release. They got their sound back, but had to disband, which is sad.

I heard the 'heads first way back in 1994 (or 1995?), when my aunt was still an alternative enthusiast and she got a hold of a bootlegged copy of Circus via tape trading. She played the tape so much while she was babysitting me that the songs stuck to my head. When we moved out I asked my mom for a copy of Circus, and eventually Cutterpillow and I have been addicted ever since These two albums defined the soundtrack of my elementary days Same case with Rivermaya, my nieces gave me a major LSS in their album Trip.
