Totally! I would love if they pulled one like that 3d though I generally find all of their themes appealing. But I'm craving for someething 'fairytalish' from them

what are Dog in PWO's lyrics about usually? as for ZUCK, Yuu's lyrics for 176biz somehow were always bitter regardless if they were about society or some romantical stuff. But that suited the music, I wonder how it goes with ZUCK now. I didn't know about this one O_O I need to read more of their lyrics There are also many of those that you can guess subject/mood of but miss true meaning. D=out's 'Music Nippon' for instance, sounds rather patriotic with all that clapping but is really mocking modern society.

well, now that you put it this way I must agree with your points. not to say that it had disturbed feelings among some of the translators ._.
-
This too happens to me very often. That's why I'm so addicted to song translations
-
LOL yes, yes, I'm looking for something like this xD I agree on Isshi's and Temari's lyrics, those are always beautiful <3 I can't find a translation but Eat you alive's 'ADULT CHILDREN OF ALCOHOLICS' though generally express love to some woman, actually are addressed to one's mother who is an alcoholic

As much as I agree with the statements such as 'Music has no language' there are quite a few songs, reading lyrics translations of which changed my view on them/left an impact. I'm sure you have some too, so let's share them? I'll start with one of my most beloved lyricists is Mao of SID, who is great at conveying whole stories into his two verses that would otherwise take a novel to unwrap themselves. One of those is 妄想日記 (Mousou Nikki)! http://youtu.be/PNMtZMi7xLI Translation http://gurakko.livejournal.com/3882.html A catchy upbeat song that turned out to be about a creepy female stalker And guess what? Five years later they wrote a sequel! 妄想日記 2 http://youtu.be/ShdAO2XX1_M Translation http://gurakko.livejournal.com/120745.html I'm specifically enamoured with this line "I'll dump her for you", and every time I listen to these songs now I can't help feeling sorry for that poor dude What about you? ^^

Actually I can see where he's coming from. Interviews do belong to other parties and not the band, so translating interviews theoritically is doing more harm copyright-wise than translating lyrics. They might oversee an illegal treatment of their products but those interviews don't belong to them, so it kind of makes sense. I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal out of this though. I mean we do upload/download, share music, scans, etc., we did so since god knows when and we'll definitely do this in the future. Same goes with translations. No difference for me, safe for a huge sparkly love that I feel towards all my translators ♥ Sure there are huge personality diferences between Kamijo and Asagi but there's one point we mustn't oversee in this case: Asagi has always been his own God and master, carefully changing labels, etc. I guess D has more rights over their songs and lyrics than Versailles. The later's politics have always been more strict. And well, D just handles their overseas politics better. Same can be seen within PSC. While there's always some fuss in the Gazette fandom featuring foreign fans, Dauto has translated one of their lyrics into 10 languages to show their support to foreign fans. They even made a Chinese version of one of their songs for their show in Taiwan. So I can't deny it's all up to the band, but you should keep in mind that not all of them have such compliant management. And it's not like they can go all 'Yes! do translate our interviews! We appreciate you breaking a copyright law!', right?

FANTASY - Alice nine What is your dream-job?

can't believe Keiyu from Kra hasn't been mentioned not even once oO" or Yuki from Raphael/rice or Aoi from Ayabie My biased top three would be Mao (SID), Jui (Vidoll) and Asagi of course And among the others that have not mentioned yet I might note Yuu (176biz, ZUCK) and Mitsu (Dolly)
