Epic drumming, brutal vocals, sick guitar playing. Dingir is a beast of a metal album.

^ Mako (vocalist) is not doing any music, tho recently he pops up at random vk concerts in the audience, or hangs out with some musician friends (like ex-D'espairsRay Hizumi, or ex-Merry go round Kazuma). To my knowledge, neither Toki (drummer) or Kazuya (bassist) are in the music biz anymore, or at least their status is "unknown".
Former bassist Yukino was in the studs (alongside aie and late ex-Kagerou frontman Daisuke), and afterwards he formed the band dim my division who changed their name (and line-up a bit), becoming DIMMDIVISION.. He goes by the name Yuki Amano there, and is on vocals and guitar.
Lastly, former bassist Takamasa Matsuura is nowadays not participating in bands, but is the head of Blastbeat Japan, which is a non-profit organization geared towards supporting young people through music events. More info and English interview here.
now this is what i call a detailed answer O.O thx mate for clarifying! too bad mako and the rest aren't doing any music anymore :/

hmmm, i did buy a lot of cds when i was in london. too bad, they had a rly nice collections of international musics
but with the age of cyberspace, there r a lot of other ways to get my hands on cds.
sux if there r layoffs, but as a consumer the impact won't reach me ^^

He's the guitarist of Angelo, alongside Giru (ex-Vidoll)
oh wow, now this a surprise O.o well but u can clearly hear the karyu's influence in "synapse"

Well, Yukino (goes by the name Amano Yuki now I think) was the bassist of deadman in the beginning, but left to join Gullet. He is the vocalist/guitarist of DIMMDIVISION.
Yukino and their drummer Hibiki was also in the studs together with aie.
aaahh, thx for the clarification ^^ i knew there were some connections

so i missed quite a lot in the past few years: hizumi is doing his merch stuff and is producing redrum's upcoming release; 2 r in the band "micro head 4n" or something like that; which leaves 1 member left - what's he up to?
-
i have to say i'm pretty much disappointed in this band :/

rip chi

of course their older stuff was way better, but it's good to c richard is still in the music biz
-
which band is his main band now? aie formed way too many... i think it's dim my division

sry if i sounded like a smart-ass but yeah, the whole thing started like this forum when i comes to jrock - there a some big sites about djent, introducing new bands/promote existing ones. for those who're interested, ie: got-djent.com
to get back to meshuggah: the funny thing is, although the whole "djent-thing" started with this band, all the other newly-emerged bands who use "djent" to identify themselves DON'T sound like meshuggah at all.

here the good old voice while performing "eaten"

It's a reiteration that people think is an awesome way to describe a heavily distorted palm muted chord. I think the term was coined by Misha Mansoor from Periphery.well frederik (meshuggah) started with the term to describe the sound by muting with one's palm. mish started to use it to search for guitars which had a heavy "djent(ly)" sound. since he is quite famous for his work ppl started to copy his terminology and that's how the (imo ridiculous and stupid) "djent-wave"
although i admit that i'm into those "djent" bands, i rly hate to use that word as a genre, since it's just plain technical and prog metal - nothing more and nothing less
-
I'll admit, I'm very much looking forward to it. If anything, the crybaby tears from stupid metalheads about there being no death growls makes it all the more exciting. It makes sense too, considering Mikael's growling nowadays is just BAD.lol whut? his growling going bad?! you call this bad?
no seriously, i don't know what's up with that style - it's just atrocious, considering he had one of the best and clear growlings (imo)
also i'm rly disappointed in travis smith's cover-art of "heritage" - opeth's gloomy/dark covers were one of their trademarks, imo
-
hmmm, i actually enjoyed their stuff the most b4 the album "anthem for the damned" - their/his latest stuff is ok though
-
so, here's a new track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvKkUIfG ... r_embedded

i bought my 1st smartphone last year and i'm not regretting it one bit! i don't think it's a luxury gadget anymore, since it's functions r matched with some1's daily life. i mainly use apps like google maps, dictionaries, IMs, news, notes, calender, alarms etc. of course i do play sometimes on my phone, but i don't use it for those "optional" purposes. oh yeah, and shazam rulz xD
since i'm already used to this kind of living standard, it would be unimaginable for me to go on w/o a smartphone. of course i could get used to a way of living with only stick and stones, but only if there's nothing left in this world except for these 2 things to survive
