I get my Mercari orders from Japonica; it's been a while since I used them but they've done good by me so far. You just have to request an item, then wait till they get to your order.
start at Disgaea 1 if you can and work your way up. If not that's okay too, since none of them are really connected story wise beside Disgaea 1 and Disgaea D2. If you don't have access to the earlier games then try to start off with 3 or 4, they're good jumping in points.
The only downside with starting them out of order is that if you ever want to go back and play the first few disgaea games, the change in tech can be a little jarring and also there's a lot of quality of life features in the later games that the earlier games just don't have, so that can be awful as well.
