I update my web comic weekly and will try and try not to fall behind on updating my tumblr with illustrations.

What drives me up the wall with Western VK bands is no one seems to tweeze their eyebrows. It's like messy caterpillar across their face. I mean, if you're gonna try and be VK be prepared to shave off your eyebrows and pencil in some. It's a rite of passage if you're going to be VK.
 
In any case, Maa sums it up perfectly. VK is full of a lot of cliches but if you're going to follow all the VK cliches for fuck sakes do it right.

I go through phases. I've never cut myself completely off from a certain genre or scene, but there are times when I listen to a certain style of music more or less than others. I'm like the weather - constantly changing.

Strange, for some reason I thought they already were inactive.
 
Ah well, I used to like them back in the day, but it seems like they were going nowhere.

I don't get why they even tried to hold on to the name. It's been so long since the major-popularity days that no one is going to check them out just because of a name. Just start a brand new band, you'll get a few fans for the “ex-Wizard” connection, and otherwise be able to get the attention of this generation of girls.

I grew up in a house with proto-metal parents, by proto-metal I mean all that early classic rock that influenced modern day metal bands. So Deep Purple, Sabbath and etc. Some stoner rock too.
 
So I was pretty grounded in rock based music at that point. Even though I was too young for the grunge explosion in Seattle, that also solidified by taste in rock music since that was the cool thing the older kids are into. 
 
Got into punk because I wanted something more aggressive and badass, metal later because I wanted something EVEN MORE aggressive and badass. I was introduced to VK but I hated it at first. Typical VK fans who don't know what genres are showed me a poppy Malice Mizer song and told me that was Japanese metal and I laughed in their face. It was basically Gackt prancing around like a pussy and being the elitist metal/punk kid I was I couldn't take it seriously. Then eventually I saw the Bara no Seidou concert and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Did some internet digging, soul seek and that bullshit and found Aliene Ma'riage and Derp in herp and HERE I AM.

I think age and time spent listening to (different) music affects one's ability to judge. Real knowledge of music grows in one's subconsious as they grow older and listen to more music.

With as much bad news and doom and gloom that goes around when something like this surfaces, it's really nice to have a little ray of light. I was really relieved once I'd read it all; Kyoka is a cool dude.

Almost all my IRL friends I met online first.

@manda and I met online over five years ago, and we have been happily dating (and living together, I might add) for two years now.
 
I also hang with @Arithmetica (she lives a few blocks from me) when I can 8D; I have this habit to just stay indoors even though I live smack-dab in the middle of old Nihon Machi (or the International District, as the city now likes to call it because the Chinese bitched a fit.)

Also I left my ex that I met in WoW and now date a guy I met at a Reddit organized board game meet up!
