actually, spiro is "speer-o", even though speer isnt anything. as long as i know lol. and btw, the final "o" u add at the end of spiro and spero is not supposed to end with a kind of "u" The word "spear" is pronounced "speer," and is the same sound as the "ea" in "eat." As to the "u" bit, I have no idea what you're talking about. The "o" is pronounced like an "o" or a really short "oh."

I'm not sure if people are making the Spyro comments based on this or not, but how are you guys pronouncing the title? Dum Spiro Spero Du-m spear-o spare-o Du like from "Du hast mich" with an m attached to the end, and the o's pronounced like if you were calling someone a "lame-o"

I really wish the pic ( http://twitpic.com/4w8991 ) was a better resolution, I could try and read it lol. All I got from it was the recap bit at the top about how it's been almost three years since UROBOROS. Meh, we should know soon, but if they truly have surpassed it...well, I just hope they have. That has always been my hope for new albums regardless of band. Innovation is good. Also, lol Furik.

The sky is pink, MOAB is a decent album, communism is relevant, chugs are creative, the south won etc. etc. etc. The sky is pink (in the morning), MOAB is a decent album (really), Communism (is relevant to almost all modern history), chugs are creative (when employed with rhythmic difference and an ear for different time signatures), the South won (when you consider that the prisoner-lease program [basically slavery] was in effect into the 1940s in some places). Any questions class?

I'm actually quite shocked - I prefer 9mm's new sound over their older stuff. Revolutionary is leaps and bounds better than VAMPIRE, and likewise, better than a majority of their older stuff. Though, this isn't a 9mm thread, so I'll leave it at that. On an actually related note; Am I the only one who prefers, pretty much unilaterally, the re-recordings/self-covers over the originals? I know alot of people here prefer old DEG over the newer more death metal inspired, but then again, how many here actually listen to metalcore/deathcore/hardcore that often?

That was fast, and awesome.

Oh my gods, shadow of envy will fill my speakers with Charlie Sheen style Bi-Winning.

Looks like that poster clears things up well enough for the release then.

http://curbsideaudio.wordpress.com/2011 ... the-space/ Is claiming that it isn't the new album being released in March, but The Artificial Theory For The Dramatic Beauty. Wonder when Crossfaith will make an official announcement regarding it.

I had my trollface on THE WHOLE TIME I watched that video.

I am quite excited after watching that clip. I leave it to the reader to interpret that statement.

Why really bother worrying about hearing the radio rip now though? The single comes out on Tuesday/Wednesday after all. Well, alright hearing it a few days early wouldn't be bad, but I think I'd still just prefer waiting for the whole thing.

I'm not sure that's not Kyo singing over himself in the song. Live it'll be Die or Kaoru probably, but the studio version certainly sounds like Kyo on both lines.

Though I hate to interject a story now in regard to types of fans of Dir en grey, this was actually pretty cool when it happened to me. I went to the St. Louis show back in, what, September '10 I guess? Either way, last tour in America. I get off the metro with some friends to walk to the venue and we see these two asian girls getting off too. Now, I immediately wonder if they're going to the show, but wasn't too interested. One of those passing "oh hey" moments. Either way, we walk the block and a half to the joint and get in line and see those girls again. I can hear them this time and they are speaking Japanese fluently enough. The usual Tokyo-ben girl chatter. I was intrigued, but again only in one of those "oh hey" type ways. We all make it in and watch Evaline go through a pretty cool short set, but, well - it's not what everyone came for. I head for the pit area. As it would happen I end up next to these two girls and strike up a conversation. They're chattering as well as they can in a loud, crowded venue, but overall seem just to be waiting. Me, wanting to actually use my Japanese (I'm paying my University to teach me - might as well get some practice right?) strike up a conversation. Here's the fun facts of what I learned from these two: *They came from Tokyo *Following DEG all over their N. America tour. *Had been to over 100 shows of DEG. Nice girls, really. A bit out of their element (for obvious reasons), but really nice. I was amazed at the depth of their devotion to the band though (ya know, following them across the world and spending a few thousand dollars in the process). Now granted these two are from a different culture, but still, for the level of love they showed, they were calm, rational, and very well accepting of just about everything and everyone there. By the end of the show both of them were at the edges of the pit me and some others made - I'm pretty sure they would've joined had it not been for the hardcore dancers. Just thought I'd share.

@CAT: It's a theme of Dir en grey for releases in the past few years. They release an album, then follow it up about a year later with a single, and then another year or so later with another single. This culminates in an album announcement relatively soon after. It's not exact, but that is generally what has gone on since they released Withering to death. By this logic, we should also see a new album from them or at least the announcement of one sometime soon.
-
Nah, most often, when someone says "since ", they mean starting after that . I can see the logic in your thoughts though.

Man, just about everybody is drinkin' hard from the haterade for this one lol. I actually liked COLORS, and Inochi no Ki was meh, but it had good B-sides. If girugamesh can keep momentum, they can actually manage to beat out NOW. Mainly because NOW sucked, and MUSIC was actually good.

Wat? But..COSMONAUT just came out like...yesterday. I'm not complaining though, I love BOC. Nobody does Folk Rock like them.

Translation: http://www.monobright.net/top.html --- I for one am pleased with this turn of events, even if ADVENTURE (monobright's last album) kind of sucked.

I don't need a clarifying introductory sentence: I thought I would be disappointed, and I wasn't. this shocked me to my very core due to the fact that I didn't really like the singles MUCC has put out for the last year. Imagine my surprise when, suddenly, MUCC can do other things musically! Sure, it isn't their strongest effort(far from it), but KARMA showcases the fact that MUCC is more than just another drop-D tuned VK band with a chip on their shoulder and a contract in their hands. 7/10

Am I...the only one who liked COLOR? Seriously?
