While I really like the "The Comeback Kid" style they've got going on here, I feel like they've lost something with Hiro going down the more hardcore vocals route. Meh, I'm probably just not used to it yet.

THIS is excitement. Their self-cover album a few months back was excellent.

Apparently it was released, but I never saw it anywhere. Best luck is probably amazon or special order through a record shop.
-
I'm still trying to find their last album, "Shinzou LIVE RATIONS." I'll end up picking it up next time I'm in Japan, but still.
-
I think they might also be releasing their new album in the UK/Europe, if not another world-wide release. Burundanga had world wide release according to altpress, and in the same story they were talking about new plans for recording. Maybe we'll get lucky?

Just as an fyi, the whole "Stop sharing" thing is a gigantic gag. What Nao, the drummer, is saying at the end is stuff like, "Stop shouting about uploading to Winny, nobody does that anymore. Look even the kids are gone because of your shouting. Look, now the last one is gone too." Obviously, yes, they probably do support that "please stop sharing," ethic, but the entire "stop stop winny upload~" seems to a bit of a deliberate over-exaggeration.

Jinn, whose last commercial level release was 2010's "ENGINE," mini-album will release a new Tower Records limited single titled "RIZING," on May 8th.
Likewise, on June 5th, they will release their third album, "To The Seeker," on Defrock Records. Jinn saw popular radio play as well as several anime tie-ins in and around 2007/8. However, they have not put out a full album since 2008's "Qualia," making it over 5 years since their last album.
A lyric video as well as announcement for "RIZING," and the album can be seen below.

Well, Kouta is the other guitarist in LIGHTNING, which is IRON-CHINO's "serious" band, and Juhki from KNIGHTS OF ROUND are both in it, so the Doujin crossover is pretty strong. Got me though.
-
Absolutely it will. I'm actually kindof glad that I came on DEG when I did, because their musical evolution has followed my taste's evolution pretty damn well.
-
I can dig it (the tunes and the blonde).

450yen says it gets delayed til Spring M3!

The gods and buddhas are smiling on 2013....does this mean the end really is coming on the 21st?
-
And now a 60~ second clip. Of course they cut off before they hit the heavier part, but I'm...really digging this, actually lol.

Since I had written it out for someone else anyway, I may as well put it here too. Who knows, maybe it'll be reposted.

Quick note, this isn't the lead vocalist/guitarist, but Hidaka Tooru, former BEAT CRUSADERS lead singer and guitarist who joined up shortly after BEAT CRUSADERS ceased activities.

Linkin Park release a heavier album --> girugamesh release a heavier single. The comparison would be apt, had LP actually done such a thing.

Where is my like button, gosh.

In it, he announced that the upcoming release wasn't going to be another Touhou arrange album. Instead, it's going to be what's all the rage in the doujin scene these days - making music that isn't doujin while criminally throwing as many scantily clad lolis on the cover as possibleHe's only in it for the lolis. Maybe the djent-djent too, but most definitely the lolis.
-
Bah, that stinks.
-
Hope it's not a pre-disband best album.This. Last album was absolutely solid work with nowhere to go but up.

If there's anything that I've noticed for some time now is that their US management is absolute shit. From getting random tours with retarded bands(lol Asking Alexandria, at least it ended up not happening) to bad ways of advertising their stuff and also weird stuff like that Scream4truth thing. They've toured with some pretty damn good bands imo. I saw them in 2007 with The Fall of Troy (who I couldn't appreciate at the time), and Deftones. Even if you don't like Deftones, you have to give them props for the respect they still get from the music community. I saw them in 2008 with The Human Abstract who you really can't hate anymore after their third album (First was good, second was shit, third was a whole new way to enjoy music). Then in 2010 with Apocalyptica, which is awesome.
As far as AA goes, while I dislike them personally, they've proven popular - to get a tour with them is a pretty sweet gig.
