  1. lol some of the indoor textures in this game suck so hard. Actually, scratch that most of the textures suck hard. Plus driving physics are sooooo bad.

It's good fun though and I'm pretty surprised at the well integrated RPG elements, I figured those would be the downfall of the game.

  2. damn! that was so rad! :D

lucky you! How was he in person?

Was he nice and funny?

    Late reply (no wi-fi anymore =[ )

He's probably the classiest person ever. He was by far the most respectful celeb at FX. All he wanted to do was interact with his fans and spent more time talking to them then they did talking to him. :P

@Vurtox: D: You lucky -word censored-! I'm hoping to see him next month in Corpus Christi.

He's great, seriously. I was never a HP franchise fan but I'm a Tom Felton fan now for sure. Great, great d00d.

  3. GOTY, ALL OTHERS ARE FUTILE.

I got this shit the day of release and it is the most amazing game I've played this year. My two-ish month long pre-order wait was totally worth it.

Also, I swear to god Elias Toufexis (the voice of Jensen) thinks I'm stalking him because I follow him around at FanExpo. Seriously, no word of a lie I'm so addicted to this game it's not even funny. I've put 45+ hours into ONE playthrough. I'm almost 100% sure I spoke to every NPC.

In essence it is very, very similar to the original which is why this game soars. But the only downside to this game is the fact they used a outdated (yet reliable) game engine when they chose Crystal Dynamics Crystal Engine and the AI can be dumb as shit sometimes. Like if I climb a ladder when I've triggered hostilities or an alarm the AI just look for a few seconds then roam away, HERPDERP WE NO CLIMB LADDURS.

    Still, great game.

  4. not to mention it's totally 100% open world.

Not quite. The boundaries are similar to Oblivion where if you swim or leave the "game area" you get that good ol' warning that your leaving the game area and you get re spawned into a game area I believe which in essence is still leaving the free-roam ideal intact but it makes the game feel cheap, personal opinion though. I much rather would have been mauled by water zombies or something if I swam too far from the island, that would be bad ass. I'm also not very happy with the XP/Damage indicators because they look tacky, as does the stamina meter but they can be turned off via options menu I hear. I'm pretty nitpicky about a few more things like the realism of the environment (people hiding in a lifeguards hut with two flimsy wooden doors between them and a horde of undead,) and the slippery driving controls but I'll wait and see when DI is released.

I'm digging the concept and setting and craft-able weapons though and I do actually like he RPG elements they've stuffed into the game despite overclogging the UI/HUD with bullshit text updates on how much damage I did to a zombie.
