yah, but you'd be amazed at the boomer logic in the music industry haha. "if they really like us they will buy the CD." or dumb sh!t like that. can understand as someone who shells out 99% of my existence to be able to create music but the reality of this age wont change. you are gonna need to play 1000 times just to get a band 7.50$ haha. honestly the current streaming format is lame but if people can get access to music its coo I guess.

The bands/labels can set the limitations not spotify themselves. and for reason wise, spotify is convenient but some bands/labels would rather you buy the cd or itunes etc. version. basically for an artist to make just 10yen/10cents they need 25 plays, so it is not really good for money. so there is that train of thought too.

Toshi apparently deleted almost all Instagram posts related to X and even the ones mentioning hide so it seems the rift is pretty big between them now so I doubt the announcement will be the album. My buddy who asked Pata what was up at a tokyo yankees gig last year got a reply that made it seem like X was going on a break too so : /

    See Jigsaw9's reply haha : P That they even copied the style/feel of the UROBOROS font for their logo around that time was uhhh @_@;;; Don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of their stuff since the release of Shudder as a kid but man they shifted around crazy after leaving undercode >.<;;

They tagged both Yusuke and that guy with the beard who replaced him.. did anyone watch it?? I hope it is the original lineup and not the DEG copy era T_T

Honestly baby jesus knows we all need to repent for our overall hooman booshit. Better wording, evolution and improvement is never bad (・∀・)人(・∀・)ナカーマ

Again, you are trying to explain the most common sense aspects of Japan to someone who lives and works here for a long time. Police brutality protest = we are talking about the police. Veeerrry simple my friend ヤフヤフ〜♪(∩´∀`)
  9. ghostpepper

Making Japan more accountable to its corruption benifits not only foreigners but the locals as well as we all have to work together on this planet ❤️
  10. ghostpepper

You do not even know the correct demographic of foreigners in Japan, amd trying to explain to someone whos been here for many years? And as I said before it is each persons personal choice to take that risk. Open your mind and heart.
  11. ghostpepper

You seem to not get the parallel. A blm event being lead by black people is logical, just as foreigners leading protest for themselves is logical, you just said yourself the people affected leading makes sense , is there a risk? Yes. But it is an individuals right to choose to take that risk for themselves. You jump to white but the Kurdish man is middle eastern? In Japan Ive seen and heard of my Indonesian, korean, and Filipino friends getting equally bad treatment. Those people if they choose to protest it is their right and def I support them. Much better than bootlicking logic.
  12. ghostpepper

It is really funny seeing people who are not Japanese use the term gaijin. Like uncle tom level. So uh, lets say BLM protest being lead by black people would be bad by your logic? Been living here for nearing 7 years, have terrible experiences with police fucking me over just for being a foreigner. been choked in front of police officers just waiting for me to defend myself, was pretty much told it was my fault by an old countryside cop after finding my ex's body after a suicide. so uhh the people affected by these BS situations leading the protest recently is not strange? Or about"look at me!" I hate those typical english teacher jobber types too, but that Kurdish man who was a victim of excessive force leading a protest for him and others like him is 100% normal.
  13. Same here in Japan, and in my experience pretty much those who do recall just think he did that first release.

As some people enjoyed our works and shared the album in the downloads as well, here are 2 tabs from the album in guitar pro format if you are interested. I do not use guitar pro for writing so these are just from the midi files and then guitar and bass written out. Kisaki helped so many other bands and helped spread vk so lots of people have a dislike paired with respect feeling here from my experience. Would rather just give rokmaykan the money direct though tbh 😅💦
  16. ghostpepper

Members spent band money on partying then said it was "staff" to try and salvage their image. So sad they ruined everyone's efforts and betrayed fans too. Will be surprised if they ever recover fully.
  17. Of course that is important. I always offer any help I can to fellow musicians as I know the struggle. but as doing music cost money, Even if you are doing it only as a hobby, it is always important to think about the return you get for your efforts.
  18. With Yohio it always interesting to see the gap between internet fame vs real life value in the scene. While net promotion is important For VK you really have to put in the work of being in the events, not just feeding your ego and image online. Besides just yohio, for lots of the fellow foreign vk guys who eventually make it over here, they are satisfied with doing only a few events, often even not in visual kei events/vk based livehouses but at rock or loud-kei events and feel they've really accomplished something instead of realizing theyve wasted time and money. But even if you are playing those VK events you really need to constantly be in the scene or it means little on the indies level.

Its crazy to me that there is even any care about a cover band. \=͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪ ‧̣̥̇)/ "Dude, my dads cover band is breaking up."

X Japan Dahlia on vinyl. Or any of the pieces from the original LEMONed shops line. Have some hide museum era shirts but want the original. Wish X would just release vinyls like hide's camp did. Super rare wise of what I own, I have the luna matino black robe same type as ryuichi and other members used in luna sea's image era and the esp guitar strap I use I got from ex. Staff for rouage, it was Rika's seems. new bands photoshoot I am letting the vocalist use the robe.

Yah for the theatrical American release it was def in the credits. went opening day first screening just to hear new X. The dude at the counter looked at me odd for going early in the morning to see saw haha. Had to sit through that god awful movie alone haha. The game was rock band i believe!
  22. I covered this pretty much in the bad bandmen topic as someone who is actually in the scene here but: Ghostwriting has been going on in vk since the 90s but is now much much more prevalent. A good sign that a band is using a ghostwriter is that they do not gradually grow in production and songwriting but suddenly have fully produced looks and releases under a label. The music industry is a cut throat business, even more so in this age, so one can understand why the labels choose a mechanism that produces money(making bands pay for ghostwriter and costumes from the start means even if they do not sell you get the money plus rights. ) In the past you could have the pop music support risks in underground music, watusi from coldfeet taught me that was the normal in Japan. Big labels would basically say "do whatever you want, we have a budget from the pop sales" but now that is non existent. It is a case of do not hate the player but hate the game. While I hate fake produced crap I understand it helps prop the scene up until hopefully there is a mass revival amongst all the plastic stuff. If you enjoy a band, even if they use a ghostwriter that is not bad, life is too short, get any enjoyment you can. But make sure to support the real underground stuff, even if foreign fan support is 1% of what a band gets. You would honestly be surprised by some of the bands using ghostwriters, I am here and have been shocked honestly. But I love VK so much to have dedicated my life to it, even if some elitist views are uncomfortable to you f@ck it, just listen to what you want to, but realize the scene is full of lots of bands not making their own stuff.

Yah Yoshiki takes the cake. It reminds me of one Prince's staff saying to Kevin Smith something along the lines of "you go tell him no because I am not. Prince has been living in Prince land too long." From connection went to Yoshiki's NHK recording last year and it was all hired foreigners acting disrespectful between takes along with actual X fans chosen from Yoshiki mobile, was supposed to be part of the questionnaire after but he chose to use only the fake foreign hired hands who knew nothing about X haha. The dude is a genius but needs someone to bring him back to reality and that will probably ground him to make better music, same thing seems to be a reoccurring thing with people who worked with Prince and had the balls to tell him the truth and set him back on course.

Yah, really all things should be legally regulated and taxed. Booty shakin, drinkin too. I would be surprised if all clubs honestly pay all their taxes though tbh. 😂✊🎶
