What's your opinion on the Catechism Catholic idea of original sin and being able to get rid of sins you've committed throughout the week via confession, the Hail Mary's etc?

I was raised in a Christian household, but we never went to church and I became an atheist when I was a teenager.

Oh, religion. All societies have practitioners of them dating back as far as man, even before the days of the written word, days of when stories were told only by mouth, perhaps by song. Anyway, the major religions of the world are Christianity and its many affiliates, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism which isn't exactly a religion in the traditional sense i.e. a doctrine, gods, etc, Sikhism, Shintoism (not sure that's even a word.) and probably many more I'm forgetting. It's been said that nothing on earth has caused more bloodshed than religion and there's nothing more divisive, except maybe politics, but yeah. However, in the right hands religion can do plenty of good and bring people together, so it's not all bad. Just remember that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I used to be depressed quite often in my teens and as I've gotten into my late 20s and now almost thirty it only hits me about the last week of the month almost like a male PMS; that might very well be it, but there are certainly times when I feel down or lost or very anxious or just in a state of discontent. My girlfriend has bi-polar depression, so she'll just fluctuate, but I can almost predict when mine will come around. All of this might actually have something to do with how I strengthened myself mentally after my last break up a few years ago and I either toughened up (doubtful lol) or I've internalized everything which I already know is unhealthy as fuck. Anyway, food for thought. I just remember how I used to have depression so bad that I didn't want to do anything or even get out of bed. These days it's like I get seized by option paralysis and there's so much to do that I just default to the usual and that even after becoming a minimalist and getting rid of all kinds of things that distracted me before, but that's a topic for another day.

Now I know that CELL disbanded in 2015 and NightingeiL came back in 2017, and it'll be 2 years next month since they came back, but no info, releases or anything. vk.gy doesn't have any additional info and the CELL Twitter is either still ran, or it's a bot as it posted multiple times a day. Kon himself apparently doesn't have any social media (not sure about a blog, he had one back in the day) and their site just says they had a show in January have one coming up next month for their anniversary. /rant

I wonder what the story was behind the deadman hiatus and if there was beef between anyone involved. Obviously Takamasa thought he'd have more success as a politician, but yeah.
