  1. Archemi's suppose to be Buddhist-kei right? There's a lot of crossover between Buddhism and Traditional Japanese culture. The biggest example of course being temples. Plus, I mean...I was actually going to comment that it sounded like Kiryu too tbh. But it's just an opinion, you don't have to agree with it.
  2. The previews sound pretty solid to me! The third track is definitely my favorite tho and I really enjoyed it live!
  3. wow... the look is... just so bad like, they're not planning on performing looking like this right?
  4. Yay!!! I was super worried because I feel like the crow music bands were dropping like flies. Plus they're one of the best bands in the Osaka scene right now. Can't wait to hear it!!!

Also, just to let you guys know, at the tour finale Mahiro was talking about his Retinitis pigmentosa getting worse and was basically hinting that he'll have to stop doing band activities one day. I don't think it'll be any time really soon but a lot of the girls were crying at the live because of that...

I usually like looking at Tanuki threads after concerts to see the fans opinions on the live and more importantly, if something major happened that I didn't see (like the time a girl brought a pink vibrator to a live and was using it like a light stick... and also made one of the bandmen pose with it during a two shot...) so it's definitely entertaining at times! As far as rumors and stuff go, I don't really care so much tho. Ehh like anything else it just depends on the person. Everyone is different and people shitpost on the internet all time so sometimes I wonder if they even believe what they actual post. I even actually was called pretty on a Kiryu thread one time which was so bizarre to me because I'm like, black and plus size so not at all the ideal beauty standard for Japan. Also on that same thread they were talking about how it was nice that a lot of foreigners were at the live and hoping that the band could do a world tour one day.

  9. I saw them back in late December and I thought the vocals were fine, not perfect, but I think they've already improved a lot from October. I didn't even really know who they were at the time and was really impressed by them! Plus, Batsu really fun to watch on stage! At the live, he ended up picking some poor random guy out of the crowd, made everyone else move, and leap-frog jumped over him If I lived in Tokyo, I'd already be one of their stans tbh!!

If you don't mind me asking, what band are you trying to go see for the live and instore? Because if you're trying to see a band that is at least middle-tier popular, I'd recommend getting a buying service for Mercari/Yahoo Auctions or another site like that and try to get some FC tickets for the live. In my experiences, I've seen FC club ticket go for less than directly buying Gen-release tickets especially if the number on the ticket is in the 1000's place. Also keep in mind the size of the venue too and google it. If it's smaller (around 1000 or less), in or near a big city, and the band is middle-tier, I'd recommend trying a buying service like patientZERO posted and try to see if they can buy tickets for you because there's more of a chance they'll sell out and then you'll have to gamble on trying to buy tickets off of someone on a site. If it's a smaller band, I'd just use a ticket buying service. For instores, I would check to see if they're already sold out because, again, if they're a middle-tier (for example Kiryu, coming from your icon), it's probably already sold out. Unless you happen to be in Sendai or something...which if you were you probably could just buy the CDs when you get there and get the tickets that way. If it's a small band, you can get them when you get there b/c I can promise you they won't sell out, trust me. But if you want pre-order bonuses, go for a buying service. If you're going to any other major city (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya) and it's middle-tier and they aren't sold out or the CD hasn't put up pre-orders yet, I'd definitely do a buying service as soon as possible. If it is sold out and you are dying to go and are willing to pay an arm and a leg to meet your band (which no judgement by the way) I have seen some go on sale on Mercari but they're usually marked up a lot and are sold pretty fast. There's also twitter and tanuki sometimes but I don't have any experience in doing that. For Ordering Concert/Live Tickets (I've never used any of these so if anyone has experience with these please post them!!) https://www.ticket-japaaan.com/ https://www.japanconcerttickets.com/ Or message V-Star on twitter For Buying from Mercari/Yahoo and Ordering Instore Tickets http://japonicamarket.com/ http://www.proxyrabbitjapan.com/ http://personalshopperj.com/ https://treasure-japan.com/ Whoops, can't use FJ for Mercari thanks for the info btw! But Yahoo Auction's okay https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/ There are a lot of buying services so I'd look at what one is best for you. I used this one when I was still living in the states. But that was a while ago so there might be better ones. Also, if you do end up buying the instore tickets from the music store site itself and not an auction site, first, find out what the policies the store has for ordering CDs online and getting instore tickets because usually you have to call the store. So once you find that out, email the buying service and explain to them the instructions for that and see if they are willing to do that for you. And definitely do that before you put your order in to make sure they can call the store.

Whoops I meant to post this report early but forgot… Sorry in advance for any ignorance on my part, I’m not actual a fan of Mejibray’s and just went mostly for curiosities sake. (Like, I think I can name two Mejibray songs…) That being said, I still felt really moved by the performance. There were nine songs for the main set and one for the encore. Most of them were L’arc-en-Ciel/Hyde songs. I thought the encore with コエガキエルマデ was really poetic considering the lyrics. I would say about half of the show was actual performance and the other was talking and MCs. And it went for about two and a half hours. As far as singing abilities go…well he seemed like he was having a lot of fun, and that’s what’s most important, right? Part of it was that he was reeeealllly nervous so I thought his singing improved a little as the show went on and he got a little more confidence. After the first two songs he actually started talking, and the best way that I could describe his voice was a man in his thirties who smoked…a lot. It was kind of deeper than I expected but I could hear sooooo much tobacco… Summary of the many MCs He explained that while Mejibray is on hiatus and he did solo stuff, he’d be using the name Yuutaro and if Mejibrary ever performed again, he’d go back to Meto. He also said that the reason he wanted to speak finally was so that he could express his own feelings and also say thank you to the fans. There was a fair amount of tears from Yuutaro too. He really loves the fans and Mejibray. Especially in the beginning, every other sentence he said was about him being really nervous or it being really scary singing on stage and how his hands were shaking a lot! But he usually followed that up with how he was having a lot of fun. There were also a lot of stories that the other session members shared and they were all very encouraging to Yuutaro talking. And there were also promises of a five-way marriage between everyone on stage. In the end, he alluded to planning on doing more solo performances, so hopefully there will be more in the future. Also during the encore, Yuutaro opened presents which went on for about half an hour because there were so many of them! I can’t really even remember everything thing but almost every time before he opened a present he would say “It’s a Nintendo Switch right?” And unfortunately, he didn’t get a Switch and the presents were just a whole lot of random crap from Donki. But he looked pretty happy about the Doraemon stuff he got.

Thanks so much! I went to a music festival with my friend actually to see TMR, and Golden Bomber was also there. I'd heard of visual kei but I never really got into it but seeing GB on stage, I instantly fell in love with them. Also, we were in a row with a bunch of GB-gyas who were all doing the furi and headbanging which was something I'd never seen before! And even though they're not really very visual kei by most people's standards, they're my first love and they mean a lot to me! After that, I slowly starting getting into other bands and I saw Kiryu for the first time last July in my prefecture's tiny livehouse which was awesome and now I'm addicted to them too! But definitely go see Sick2 if you have the chance! Sick2 puts on a really fun performance. They have some of the most complicated furi of any band I've ever seen so make sure you study their Youtube videos so you don't get lost!

Hi! I've been lurking on the forums for a few months now so I finally thought it was time to make an account! I'm from the U.S. but I've been living in Japan for a little over a year now (and I'm hoping to stay here for a long time tbh!) I live in the Kansai area, so I go to mostly Osaka lives. I didn't start listening to Vkei until I moved to Japan so I'm very much a newbie in terms of even knowing the names of bands. (other than of course the huge bands everyone knows) Right now I'm following Golden Bomber, Kiryuu, Sick2, and Tensai. I like a lot of Jpop and Jrock music too like TMR, Daoko, Unison Square Garden, and Wanima. I don't have a lot of friends who like to going concerts so feel free to contact me if you're ever in Osaka!! (I also do sometimes nightbus to Tokyo for lives)
