There's a video with previews for all songs. I don't know Sugizo's work that well, but it all sounds like something I could listen on a snowy evening with hot cocoa. I like the art, too.
  3. hotcocoa

Totally agree. I'd think they plan big things like tours or releases at least a year in advance.

Or you can get yourself a bunch of madaraningen stuff and cry (happily) eating cup ramen till the next payday... But speaking of DVDs I wonder if they will announce the last batch this month?

There's a self cover album 殺シノ調べⅡ, maybe that's what you're thinking about? So far I really like some of the covers, like those by sukekiyo, Junko Yano or lynch., on the other hand some sound too much like the originals and I find it boring. Maybe the full version will surprise me, I'm still planning to get this.

From the left: Kaoru has talk events and writes a blog, there's some merchandise involved in that as well. Toshiya has DIRT, it also seems like Ster Edge became a regular thing? Kyo has sukekiyo, madaraningen, The Zemeckises, solo exhibition in spring, he participated in Sugizo's solo album as well. Shinya has SERAPH and networking with all other bandomen, he's probably the most busy one xD he just participated in Halloween Party 2017 event. Die has DECAYS, occasionally he collaborates to produce some leather or silver goods. Some of them probably help their kouhai/younger musician friends with producing, but I can't remember any names on top of my head.

After Macabre and wtd I would say there will be at least one documentary DVD - they filmed so much outside venues, even interviewing fans at some shows, it would be a waste not to use it in someway. And let's dream big - a Budokan closing with the best of album on the last DVD. @pedro217I think he said somewhere that he can play one song without taping his fingers, so there is improvement.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did Budokan Vestige of Scratches 2 days instead - this tour was announced at Budokan so it would be a fitting end Tomorrow is the final show of the tour. They did an announcement today about the best of album, I'm curious if there will be any other announcemet tomorrow.

Interesting choice of songs for each artist, I'm also waiting for the "...and more" information to be added to the artists playing with MUCC at Tribute Album lives. I was really hoping for sukekiyo and cali≠gari somewhere!

For the whole 3 months XD When I saw Tatsurou's tweet I was shocked first and then when I checked the ohp I couldn't stop laughing lol It was intense year for them, so 3 months vacation is well deserved

@rekzerIt feels strange that there are no plans after 2 years of constant touring. There are not even events / festivals they are playing at... There might be some kind of announcement at Shinkiba or Zepp Tokyo, but I guess they might focus on recording over winter?
  12. hotcocoa

What? Why would Takabayashi be dying for anything really??? Confusion aside, I love those skull teruteru, I'm really curious if they will prepare an extra color for the additional show?

I use those towels daily as hand or face towels at home, or when I go hiking or jogging. But I totally gave up on tote bags, got too many so decided no to get any new for a few years... unless they're Zemeckises bags 😄

That garbage can was the first item to get sold out in Kyoto If it was at least bit cheaper I would consider getting it just for the fun of carrying it back home on shinkansen. Noooooo, the cat shirt??? Stickers?

I have to agree with @jaymee that when you have a problem with a specific person at the live you shouldn't confront them directly. If you don't know anyone there talk to the staff if the problem is really bad, or at least relocate. It's better to enjoy the band from the other place than spend time fuming being close to the stage. Personally I had more good than bad experiences with other gya. My Japanese friends sometimes joke about me getting more attention, but never in a bad way. Nice thing to do is also to remember about the whole give and take rule. For many gyas exchanging small gifts at lives is part of the culture, so you can have some small sweets for the time in the line (especially if you can bring something from your home country), if your band was ever abroad and you have some pictures from that time many girls would love to see them. Wouldn't not paying for a reserved ticket make that account not worth keeping? I think some sites have penalties (as in getting a worse number or less chances of winning the lottery) if you don't pay for the ticket? And also agree about jouren - when 9GBO was still around no matter in which city I went to see them I always saw the same few women in saizen... The other thing I really disliked about their concerts was that the first few rows would have so much space when the fans in the back would be absolutely squeezed. No matter how many times venue staff might ask for fans to move the first few rows would never do that. I know gya want to look all pretty and pull their awesome moves, but it's counterproductive for getting their favorite band new fans and is very inconsiderate towards other gya. I guess this is similar for many other bands as well.

It's a cool idea to start a thread like this!😊 Few comments from me: #1. I've never felt like buying more tickets at once gives you better numbers. People who get saizen that I know usualy make multiple applications (one or two tickets) and keep the best ticket and sell the rest. Very often gya actually organize and they do 'hoken kakering' - insurance applications for each other. If it's a rare event then often people get their family members to help too. #2. some bands/venues might have a 'cloak service' - which means you will get a big clear plastic bag (often they use rubbish bags for this 😁) and you can leave your things in this bag with the venue staff. Bags have numbers (or number ticket) or/and staff will ask your name and phone number which you must tell the staff to pick up your bag. Usually it's possible to use the service before the door time, but it might take some time to be able to get your bag if it's a big show. So don't use this option if you're in a rush to catch last train. The cost is usually 500 yen. #4. In 6 years I've only been to a live that didn't allow bringing drinks twice. Most of the time you can bring your own drink in, but you will have to pay the drink ticket fee anyway. Also, at the shows of some bands gya leave their bags on the floor to 'reserve their spot' and go to get their drink before the live starts or between bands after gya of different bands swap places. But if it's your first live of the band don't risk this unless you know that's what fans do. #10. I do the same - book my hotels as soon as I know tour dates. Recently the number of tourists keeps increasing and if you don't book a hotel early it might be hard to find something affordable/convenient. If my plans change I can always cancel the reservation. I sometimes travel with friends and we stay in the same room, but compared to Europe I think many Japanese are not so comfortable with that.

http://direngrey.co.jp/tour/#goods They did finally post the list of goods, but without any photos (are they still working on the video because that is so much useful??). There are some surprising items on that list like GARBAGE box?

sukekiyo's ADORATIO made a huge impression on me, I can't think of other releases from this year that had an effect of the same degree.
  19. hotcocoa

It's 4 days to the start of the last leg of this tour, but there is still no merch information??? Is their office on (extended) summer vacation?
  20. hotcocoa

Hazuki's selling pitch is 'each one of you should bring a friend, or even better a few friends. I will go shirtless'. Also, about different versions - apparently DVD will have all songs, but no MCs, while blu-ray will be an uncut footage.
  21. hotcocoa

It's already out, but I doubt there's any info like that there 😆
  22. Omg this shows how sleepy I'm today, I was totally thinking of Ain't all the time, sorry! XD
  23. Not their style, they were never a 'crowd pleasing' band... Oh, sorry But they played it on both Nakano nights which were filmed. That's why I assume at least one will end up on the DVD.
  24. hotcocoa

    I'm a little bit disturbed...o_o
  25. Akuro most likely will be released in the future on mode of MACABRE that should be more wallet friendly
