  1. So apparently it's really happening this time, Ghost in the Shell is getting a US live-action movie. DreamWorks is still the one developing it and Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) is going to be the lead director (urgh).

It's also pretty certain actress Margot Robbie is going to take the role of Major Motoko Kusanagi.

    Source: http://collider.com/ghost-in-the-shell-margot-robbie/

Idk how to feel about these choices. Snow White and the Huntsman was terrible and I was hoping they'd cast an older actress (in their 30s) for the role instead of a 24-year old. Literally America has never done adaption of an anime right so I'm fearful for this is going to turn out.

I'm also curious what they're going to do if they decide to cast white people for all the main roles. Do they keep the original names, or will they localize them? It'd be kind of odd to have so many white people with Japanese names running around, lmao.

Margot Robbie? Definitely seems like a fun girl with her Suicide Squad role.

But she doesn't have the body for Ma-jor Ma-ko-to Ku-su-na-gi~

(of course she can work on it, and hopefully they will make her)

But yea, Im thinking this movie would have better been left in Japanese hands

What has America done right in the last centuries? they ain't gonna start now

  2. Really looking forward to Deadpool. It looks really good (from the few pictures I've seen), and judging from a handful of pictues it seems like a much more rawer and adult superhero film than everything else within the genre nowadays. Really, really, really looking forward to it.

Oh, it's worth it- I was never a Deadpool (or any kind of superhero) fan, but Ryan Renold's comedy movies were always good (aka Van Wilder, Waiting, etc),

so when I heard he was doing a comedy-superhero film, and from the information people told me about Deadpool, I knew this was going to be gold.

    The Renolds delivered.

Also, if you havent seen Van Wilder- one of my most recommended movies!! A must-see of American comedies.

  3. (Angostura)

Haha Im surprised to see Angostura here! My family's from Trinidad, so- good to see haha

Hmm I drink lots of different red wines, gins, cognac, vodka, beers, and other stuff.

Particular favorites are the tastier drinks, like when I was in Japan Id get the Bacardi Mojito-in-a-bottle deal. It was a fizzy Mojito, with the most perfect taste, wow- used to drink it after work to relax. But I cant find it anywhere in America :\

Also used to drink a lot of Umeshu (plum wine) when I was in Japan... ah, it was perfect with sushi even

Alas, the brands I had there are also not here in America

Fortunately, I did find a similar drink to the Mojito, which was the Cayman Jack Margarita lolll great after a long day as well, and great if you are in some Island kinda place

  4. I dreamt I was working in Japan again, and my job was at this huuuuge restaurant place close by to the train station, so it was super convenient, and there was this beautiful tan girl foreigner also there who was my romantic interest in said story

    It was sweet

    Then I woke up

and found myself in an orgy full of you guys... aye, hugs all around~

  5. Sooo, any of you guys listen to Thai music or are interested in it?

How did I start listening to Thai music? Well, it's simple.
I liked Anime at first, so I listened to Japanese music.
I liked Thai food later on, so I was like why not, let's try some Thai music, too.

That said, I'm greatly satisfied with the way some Thai bands are moving the scene.
Honestly, Thai groups in general have a sick fetish for ballads, and it's just boring after the first
    minute of the first song

But like I said, some bands are not following that theme and making their mark in the Thai music industry at the same time

I wont list any bands for now, but if anyone's interested- let me know somehow and we'll get sharing in here~

Pay Money To My Pain, of course

Anime: Gundam fanboy (seen most of the stuff since it's conception, thanks to Blu-ray re-releases), Mononoke, Gintama (probably the best Anime),

Welcome to MH! Have fun with us!

I love the introduction xD really funny.

Glad it made someone chuckle haha ;'D I only really listened to Korean music for like 2 months cuz I decided to do the dance group event with the Korean Culture Club at my Uni loll so I had to listen to practice the songs xp But yea, Japanese and Thai are my main hoes <3

    See you around, friend~

    Welcome aboard!

    Thanks dude!

A little note: OK OK, I feel like I should be honest with everyone a bit lol. I was here before the site was called Monochrome Heaven- Im pretty sure it was Tainted World. I was there at the time with people like Osiris, Rain, CAT5, Spike, etc. So Im not a complete stranger loll I'm the childhood friend you forgot you even had, come back for some gold and good times ;')

PS: Dafuq is kiwamu? Im my own bitch, mang

  7. and it was amazing.

    That said, hello peoples~

I'm Ash, I've had a long affair with Japan, a shorter one with Thailand, and Korea I just sleep with sometimes when needed.

In other words, I like music from all over- Europe and America as well, of course.
Let's get along and music it up~

I'm a dude, musician, guitar/vox/mandolin/lyrics mainly, focused only on creating my own songs.
But I have long made a silent promise to K that I'll cover a Pay Money To My Pain song in memory of him. ..Miss that guy

I'm also a Gamer, on Steam and just PC gaming in general (right now, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Tales of Zestiria, Creativerse, etc); Anime-watcher, it's a drug by now; health enthusiast, and more.

I interned in Japan last year for 6 months, and I've been studying the language for 2-3 years on and off, so my Japanese is pretty good. I also have made some songs in Japanese and English-Japanese hybrid.

Anyways, let's get along~ throw some bands at me, ask questions- let's see what happens.
