So I was at the GOTCHAROCKA/LSN concert this last night. GR isn't usually too loud, but I knew nothing of LSN and they ended up playing very loudly. I'm waiting for a call back from my doctor, but my right ear has been ringing the last several hours. That was only my third live I've ever been to, so I don't know how typical this is. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

That’s normal if you don’t wear earplugs. If this is only your third concert it’s probably not too late to start wearing them. I refused to wear them for about 10 years but it’s honestly a lot better since it also filters out unnecessary loudness in the venue, so you’ll actually enjoy the music more. I’m not using specially made ones, just wear my earbuds from my phone since they’re in-ear and noise reducing.

Thanks, that makes me feel a bit better. My dad went to a concert when he was 38 and it was so loud that he developed tenitus. He can't listen to anything, sleep well-- it's basically made him pretty miserable. I'm just a bit scared of ending up like that. I had ear plugs my first two concerts but thought I'd be fine again. I know better now.
