lukrecia 22 Posted April 2, 2011 Esclin Syndo OHP MYSPACE g9cADIrbRYE VTPuLkmds5o Founded in 2003, Hungarian band Esclin Syndo was the first foreign group to make it to the finals of the International Live Contest. Creating an intriguing blend of intense guitars, metal bass, rock percussion, 80’s keyboard and the etheral but massive voice of Dalma Berger, the music of Esclin Syndo results in a somewhat eerie yet in the same time emotional -even heartening- eclecticism. The 5 found a great balance in bringing their sensitivity to the music when recording songs and going wild (and driving the audience even wilder) when on stage. Despite their being a very popular, fan-favorite live act –with their ecstatic, spacey but passionate rockin’- they take quite some time finishing their first real LP. A fusion of trip hop, pop, electronica and rock, the soon-to-be record (working title is „Invisible Line??) is meant to sum up their entire 3-year-long musical journey together. Drawing influences from bands like Massive Attack, Björk, Radiohead, and such bands, Esclin Syndo's music could be summed up as an intresting mix of the elements of Portishead-like trip-hop, Glassvegas-like electro-rock (or shock?), and some Cocteau Twins flavour. Dalma Berger is also a really great vocalist, sometimes tagged as the 'hungarian Björk', but the whole music is just awesome. Sadly, Dalma left the band to focus on her other bands - Singas Project and Volkova Sisters.
