Danao 759 Posted February 27, 2013 Hi I had a question to people over here I made mp3 rips of DVD for a long time now, by using DVD audio extractor But the quality at the end is clearly not perfect, everything is cut at 16khz (somewhere around 192kbps let's say) So I want to know if someone has a good software who do proper encoding of DVD (in mp3 or lossless), something that doesn't made transcodes ! 1 freesia reacted to this
Catness 413 Posted February 28, 2013 I never had problems with DVD audio extractor. Before I rip a DVD in mp3 320kbps or lossless, I use the program "MediaInfo" to see/check which audio quality/format it has. For example some DVDs are only have an audio bit rate of 192kbps, audio Codec is usually "AC-3." So you can't rip it over 192kbps. If you see a DVD with the following track: 1536kbps, PCM audio Codec, you can rip it in any lossless or lossy format. I use an another alternative too: The program "xMediaRecode." You can also rip DVDs with chapters but you have to choose the chapters manual. And it has many settings, therefore it's not easy for beginners.
