This will probably be a super secret guilty pleasure because I like terrible music.
  2. TheBistroButcher666

  3. TheBistroButcher666

Yes, so they can major in a worthless degree like psychology, fashion design or liberal arts.
  4. TheBistroButcher666

Wuuuuuuu, I can't watch this because it's not available to watch in the US. What the heck? I know I know, a privilege American whining about videos being blocked for them.

Glasses are cool as fuck and people that have glasses are cool as fuck. Contacts are dumb. I have had glasses since I was either six or seven, I honestly can't remember but I've always had them. I'm far-sighted and when I was younger my vision was shit but now it's A-okay and when I go to my optometrist my prescription doesn't change very much. So I've kept previous pairs and can pretty much inter-change them on a day to day basis. I don't have a favourite brand of frames and honestly don't give a shit about brandnames but I have thought about getting some mucho expensive frames since my insurance will cover so why the fuck not? My glasses have always typically been black plastic frames, way before hipster douche bags made them uncool. I'm kind of over due for a new pair and Costco has eye-glass services so I might get my new pair from there. I moved away from my old optometrist I've had since a little kid and I feel like I'm betraying him if I go to Costco lolololol.

I'm not an economist so I don't really know why it's more expensive, however Japan is known to have some of the highest cost of living in the world. But it could be a number of other things, possibly supply and demand? A country roughly the size of California with approximately 130,000,000 people, may make demand go up and so prices follow?
  7. TheBistroButcher666

1HuJeApMNNg I actually like this song.
  8. TheBistroButcher666

I think he is the first big death for this new generation of Jay-rawk fans.

Who would lie about owning stuff? That makes me laugh because I can't imagine someone who would lie about something so petty haha. Has there ever been a case? I can imagine people posting rips that aren't theirs and being douchey about it saying they ripped it. Most of the time, those people usually write "lol, I don't remember how I got it lololol"

DIFFERENT SENSE - 8/10 For the first time in awhile I really liked a new Dir en grey song. Different Sense is great, the vocals are balanced out nicely, just enough cookie monster vocals to not turn me off but also some great high pitch wailing and some cool cleaner vocals. Tsumi to Kisei - 3/10 Not my style of music, I probably shouldn't rate it at all.

I say no but I am also the champion of the search button.

Masquerade. 8/10 Despite the music being written by Kamijo it is starting to grow on me. Unfortunately the chorus really drags the song down and kind of ruins it for me. It's like everything leading up to the chorus is great but when I get to the chorus I hit the back button and just listen to the beginning of the song again. If I can manage to get through the chorus the rest of the song is great. I don't know why I dislike the chorus so much, it's not THAT bad but kind of drags the song down. Could be so much more if the chorus was worked on a bit more. Philia Neutral Skipped. Thanatos. 7/10 Not bad, it's nice to hear something written by Masashi. A bit mellow for my taste but I enjoy it. Flowery. 10/10 Judging by just the name I thought this was going to be a shitty ballad but Teru wrote it and instead it's wickedly awesome and my favourite song on the album. Remember Forever -100/10 Boring as hell. Destiny Labers Neutral. Destiny is dumb, the extra orchestrated stuff at the beginning was totally unnecessary and stupid. I'll just listen to the single version that doesn't have the extra pointless nonsense attached to it. Dry Ice Cream 7/10 I like it but I don't love it, I'm a little mixed on this one. I may come to really like it sooner or later but right now I ain't feelin it. Threshold 5/10 Filler track. Judicial Noir. 10/10 Judicial Noir is my favourite old song on the album. Vampire. 5/10 Vampire is pretty mediocre, the chorus is really bad. I want to love it but I can't. It starts out pretty cool but when Kamijo started singing it all went down from there. I really hate the chorus, why do I dislike the songs written by Kamijo so much? (Masquerade being a recent exception). Love will be born again. -100/10 Wrrrrrrrrrrrry Faith & Decision -100/10 The 16 minute long song should be renamed to Boring as -FUCK-. Honestly, I haven't been much of a fan of any of their long songs anyway so I wasn't expecting much from this. They just can't seem to write good long songs like other metal bands can. Overall Opinion Despite sounding like a negative Nancy I like the album. I wish Teru had wrote more than just Flowery, I've liked just about everything he has written for the band and would love it if he wrote even more.

Ah yes, that's always balls. In the US we don't get as many digital releases on iTunes and Amazon compared to some European countries. I know you can cheat the system and use proxies but I've never actually done it. Why do distributes even wait to release it in other regions or block it from being released in certain places? I don't get it, why just not release it world wide? I don't have a problem with them at all. I actually don't like paying for MP3's myself that much because I prefer having the physical copies. I only see a problem with the people who beg and beg for cheaper things (or else!), but won't even buy the stuff when it does become cheaper. I think it would be easier to pay a few cents to get, a digital single for instance, rather than wasting your time pestering people to share? I could understand if we were talking about $30 a pop, but $5? $.99? Eh, really? :/ Pretty much this ~ I honestly don't buy MP3s from iTunes haha, only as a last resort. I guess it's just the DRM stigma. I know there aren't any more DRMs but didn't they lower the quality of their music after removing the DRMs? I don't really know (or care) because most of the time I order CDs themselves.

What about the dick that uploaded Misaruka's free song Merrow Sin, when it was free for download but they had to reupload it looooooool!
  17. TheBistroButcher666

I bought a copy when they only had 3 left because of you Gold star for you. It annoyed me to no end when people said they couldn't afford a five dollar single, I know with shipping involved it shoots the price up but you can just select SAL and it shouldn't be so bad. It seemed like such a shitty excuse. Here's a more important question: if he's all of a sudden 100% against piracy, how is a blog better than the download section of this site? Where do you think they got all those links from? Their personal CD collection? Still curious to see what it says. Honestly, I know Kiwamu is a dick and not the most loved person among Japanese music fans. However he does put a lot of effort into making his band's CD easier to obtain for Western fans. If he gets upset with people uploading I don't understand why people think it's okay to laugh at him for getting upset. It's a legitimate reason to become upset, okay maybe throwing chairs is a bit too far but he is diverting a lot of his time and resources to help make it easier for Western fans to get their music. I mean, Blood's new single is ¥285 on HearJapan and it's not limited to only certain regions able to download it. If you say you can't afford that or some other BS excuse well then fuck you.

What blog post is the OP talking about? Wanted to read it but they failed to provide a link and all I could find was his Japanese blog. His Facebook is full of stupid shit morons tag him in so I didn't even bother looking at his Facebook wall.

People will always want free things and as long as people want stuff for free it isn't going to stop. I stopped being generous like I use to be because Visual Kei fans are ungrateful self-entitled brats. However, I only have this attitude for items from active bands with material that is in print and easily accessible. Old bands that broke up 10 years ago, that released limited number of CDs that you can only find on auction sites (in other words hard to get) I don't have a problem with sharing. The band isn't getting anything from it and not gaining any more fans anyway. I don't understand how it might harm the band, if anything if the artist is still making music it could be beneficial. Gaining new fans that will seek out the artist and listen to their new music. (Also the satisfaction of trolling traders and leaking their precious rarez.) However, active bands? I don't like sharing for example their CDs. My Heaven's Luck Sister, I was one of the first to buy the single and hell it was only five dollars on CDJapan. A website in English that focuses on selling outside of Japan to foreigners, not hard to use at all and doesn't require a shopping service but I still had people messaging me asking me to share the single with them. I would send them the link to the site were you could buy it, most complained that they couldn't spend five fucking dollars. That's not my problem if you don't have the money, not everything is free and if you really really really want it get a job and buy it yourself. This rants makes me a hypocrite though because I wouldn't be a fan of Japanese music or any of the music I listen too if it wasn't for downloading. I started out downloading but I would try to buy CDs when I had the money but I really couldn't keep up with most artists I like. Especially Japanese bands because I just couldn't afford Japanese CD prices and the shipping on top of it. Now that I work and have disposable income I try to buy and show my support of the artists I like when I can. I know they aren't making phat money from CD sales alone since most of it is siphoned off to the label and other suit types but it still helps and many still appreciate it. I wouldn't have bought most of the CDs I have (over 400) if it wasn't for downloading.

Flowery is my favourite song on the album. Faith and Decision is boring as hell.

Pssh, I don't know about you guys but it needs more hentai.
  25. TheBistroButcher666

My family doesn't care but my sister once teased me and tried to justify why her music was superior, stating that her artist make more money and that's why it's better ahahaha. My friends don't care, we're not friends because of the type of music we listen to. I do have friends here that listen to Jay-rawk but I met them online through Jrock communities so of course we share that interest. However they're a small minority within my social circle.
