  1. Natsuki had an oddly original look before. Really can't tell him apart from any other silver-haired veekay guy now. That's fairly lame.

I still haven't gotten around to listening to Rouge yet, but I haven't seen many scathing remarks over it, so I'll assume they're still going alright and I'll look forward to this in the meantime.

But yeah, I buy stuff I really enjoy and tend to buy new stuff from bands I really enjoy without hearing said new material. Part of it is the collector in me too.

  3. I'll admit, I'm very much looking forward to it. If anything, the crybaby tears from stupid metalheads about there being no death growls makes it all the more exciting. It makes sense too, considering Mikael's growling nowadays is just BAD.

  4. Haters gonna hate, but I liked some of Elysium. And I liked Polaris at the time, but now I really can't be bothered with it. Certainly better than both the colossal messes that were the Elements albums (excluding the title track from the first one) and self-titled but definitely not up to the level of Infinite or Visions. I still enjoy listening to both of those every now and then.

Kotipelto should stop singing soon though. My god does he sound bad too often these days.

Not a lot to say, to be honest. Apparently they call themselves "bird rock" but fuck made-up genre names. It's not something you'll listen to and think it's oh-so-original and groundbreaking, blah blah blah, wah wah wah, etc, etc. But why should it be? Good music is good music, and this is good music. The full demo/EP is up there on soundcloud and the band themselves have it uploaded here so go ahead and give it a go. All 3 songs are gorgeous but my main recommendation is Brown Recluse.

    9/10

  6. The thing I noticed I didn't like straight away is the analog sticks being above the d-pad and action buttons. That just feels wrong to me. And the size, of course. I only really liked the idea of it being able to play the same thing on the smaller screen if someone else was to want to watch TV. But at the same time, all my consoles, etc, are in my own room.

Really I don't think I'd get one unless it's an alright price (which yeah, I doubt) or it has some good exclusives.

  7. The whole Kinect-ridden Microsoft conference was appalling. Only Tim Schafer made it worthwhile simply just with his presence. And Sony wasn't much better with the 3D and Move wanking. Have to say though, that Playstation branded 3D TV bundle looked really nice. And the price of the Vita is brilliant compared to what was expected. I'm really excited for it.

It's all about Mass Effect 3 and Assassin's Creed Revelations though. FUCK.

  8. The American version isn't bad at all. While the original IS better, Gervais is the most unfunny "comedian" on the entire planet. Not one thing that comes out of his mouth is ever the least bit funny or creative. Which certainly says something about the other cast members, and Stephen Merchant's co-writing. I've always found Merchant to be a fantastic comedy writer/actor. The fact that he nearly always works with Gervais though is fucking depressing.
