I live in the country where same sex marriage was allowed as the first country world wide (the netherlands). I am fully for same sex marriage as wel. I am not gay myself but if people want to get married to the one they love why can't they? Doesn't matter if its a male or a female. I think that most people on here are already open to same sex marriage anyway. I highly doubt you will find much homo haters within the jrock/vk fanbase.

I think your seeing a shift in what people like nowadays. VK used to be the big thing when it came to music from japan. But you see more and more that non-vk japanese bands are gaining popularity (one ok rock, coldrain..even scandal). Also the copyright part plays a huge part, but it is kinda strange. That VK bands do have copyright crap on youtube but bands like one ok rock and scandal post there own PV's on youtube...So I believe the record labels are indeed destroying any chance most VK bands have at gaining an international fanbase around the world. Because be fair, would you by a cd of a band if you can't find anything about them on the internet? Not give them one listen?

Same here :] I’m 22 and I've never been in a proper relationship.

Sometimes I consider being sad about it but then I start questioning why we all should try to partner up to begin with. – For companionship (to not be alone, for selfish reasons?), to share love/ emotions/ life, to experience love? For sex?

People say that your partner should be your best friend, but then again, the only pro-relatioship argument that remains is the 'easy sex'.

 

Tbh, I think the most important thing is to love yourself. And other love will find you <  /hippie>  :]

 

Plus, I’m a bit of a loner with a boner for literature and I regularly need breaks from other people… thus, I have the feeling that I wouldn’t do that well in a relationship.

Harhar i am even older (24) a guy and never had a relationship before...I don't go out and i like to stay at home as well (reading books or playing games). So i will probibly will not meet a girl anytime soon. Not I feel lonely, but i do have the feeling that you miss something sometimes...

My parents always say: "Go out and meet girls". But then i will be like, yeah sure...but the kind of girl i like is probibly not going to be there...xD I like geeky girls, bookworms you know....and those are hard to find (and even harder to make them like me...xD)...Don't have high standards, just the girls i know are already in a relationship or are annoying as hell..xD

Ah well...single life is fine for now...when it happens it happens...

The issue that people have with babymetal is mainly that it is outside of there comfort zone. "Real" metalheads (as they call themselfs) swere on the way metal is now with major bands like metallica as well as Iron Maiden. Babymetal is something that comes within there "sacred" ground and most of them can't accept it. It all boils down to not being able to accept change...accept something new. I think most people here will have heard comments about VK as well ("Dudes who dress up like girls? How can you like that?" something among those lines). This is all part of human nature. If something is outside of your comfort zone you will generally dislike it.

To be honest I rather go to a concert of babymetal then lets say...dragonforce (saw them last year on a festival....one of the worst live performences i saw..xD).

The thing about them being produced...well...the music industry is a business to make money. If you find a new product that sells well...why not use it. The talk about soul and what not...i can understand it, but that just not how the music industry works. If you can write a song like that and become famous, go for it! But most songs (Pop, hiphop, trance even rock) are produced and written by somebody else. There are only a few real singer songwriters out there the rest is all written by either one member of the band or even by a producer. But does people dislike that kind of music because of that? No. So i don't really see the problem of this being to "produced".

Yeah...no maybe...i want to but its not really around my corner (amsterdam that is....) So i have to figure something out by then:)

Well listen to AK48 is not bad. I believe everybody has there own songs that they like and enjoy. And I listen to anime/games related songs as well:)
