No hate/jealousy whatsoever. I own some backlash stuff but I definitely have never gotten the attraction to CH. looks corny AF and the dudes from creed used to wear it. WITH AAAAAAAHMS WIIIDE OOOPAAAAAN
-
Ah Mr. Wong. He works for chrome hearts and used to work for backlash. As I understand, every japanese person who has every been born has a heroin like addiction to overpriced silver jewelry that looks like something a "cool youth pastor" would wear with his bedazzled jeans and affliction shirts. Looks like working for them gets you on the inside of j-rock affiliate circles as he posts alot of pics with vamps and diru. Probably gets advance copies as this isnt the first time hes posted covers before the album was officially out. Its a wonder the gyaru havent abducted him and forced him into a life of slavery.

The point is to get people to buy it when it comes out. Most album sales metrics are based upon sales immediately following or a short time after an albums release. Most record labels worldwide do something to incentivize release date album purchases (this equates to video games and most entertainment media aswell. Looks at all the games that give preorder bonuses and early access etc etc). It also gives the hardcore fans something special for their dedication. Though if I dont get something right away or to was release so far in the past that I wasnt following a band, I have never had an issue finding a first press copy of a release through the usual channels.

Values of madness be like “remember six ugly???”

I actually prefer the symp versions to the standard versions...I thought they were going for that "fake black metal dimmu borgir symphonic blast" thing

Ive shipped guitars from japan before. Im currently waiting on one that cost $5k. Shipping ususally averages out to around $300, so between double and triple what it would cost to ship a guitar domestically. The shitty part about their instrument prices are that they are between $500-2000 OVER what it would cost to buy and ship a guitar from ikebe or kurosawa BEFORE THEY EVEN ADD SHIPPING, so what these fucksticks are doing is just going to the store, ordering the guitar, and basically charging you a 30% premium, then bending you over on shipping. Fuuuuuck that shit. Im looking into Blackship to secure an a knot membership. Looks like its a side service from white rabbit. Have any of you guys used them before? Thoughts? Im determined to get a membership this year no matter what it takes.

Does anybody know if the physical dimensions of the packages are different depending on whether you got the blu ray or dvd?
-
Ive used them countless times and never really had a problem before this year but I definitely buy that they've screwed people in the past. Its also 100% J-XYZ. The website code is nearly identical and has been for almost two decades now lol. Also the person that usually responds has been named akira since I bought merch from the 5 ugly kingdom tour in 2002.

Yeaaaah that sounds like it wouldnt really work out??? Id like to use tenso but i keep hearing about people not getting documents and stuff. TBH i really dont care if its costly I just want a service I can count on 100%

I’m only just starring to thoroughly research it, but it looks like none of the available services really work well for a knot membership??

Lets just say the gubmint thinks I had insurance all year in 2017 but in February and March I TECHNICALLY DIDNT. ....SO...LADIES....😉

I wish I was a "bad boy of visual kei"...

Of course not on US iTunes. Don't know if I should be irritated or thrilled. Everything so far has been catastrophic...just totally unlistenable. Though I'll be honest, for every mejibray song I love, theres like six tracks of garbage. Also why the fuck did they only play venoms live once????
-
Anybody??? Also what is up with the crowd at the macabre show???? Totally lifeless...

Blu rays came today....no box set of course. Also no preorder bonuses, so thats the entire set I've preordered in advance and apparently someone just kept the CDs and postcards and stuff for themselves. Checked yahoo and the only person selling all of them wants $160 for the set. Cool. Also of course no refund for only a partially complete order. What sucks the most is the only boxset I could find on yahoo is the DVD version...and im not sure if the packaging is the same dimensions for both versions. I mean im pretty sure it is, it wouldn't make sense not to be, but if my set doesn't fit together im going to be furious.

At long last, I have this on the way from Ikebe. This is going to be a fantastic birthday...

Do any of you guys have any of the new mode of dvds? Im in a bind and need a weird favor. Can you measure the length and width of the front of the case for me? Basically I bought the blu rays but Japan discoveries screwed me on the box. I saw a dvd box on yahoo and bought it right away as galaxy broad shop is sold out. So now I need to know if any of my blu rays will fit or if I need to track down the dvds....ugh

Yeaaaah I really cant picture kyo violating schoolgirls with a liquor bottle.

I actually dont think it has changed since the early 2000s. Thats how i could follow them when they changed name, they just put a different logo on the site.
-
Looking for anyone who can scoop me the MOAB and MACABRE mode of blu rays and the blu ray box thing.

So I've bought from them in the past. Like since 2002 when they were called J-XYZ. Theyve always been overpriced as shit and it always took a week or two to ship your stuff. Presumably because they didnt actually have the stuff in stock and had to track it down. That being said, they were always a reliable (if expensive) option for anyone looking for band goods or fan club only items that didnt have good connections in japan. Ive probably spent upwards of $5k with them over the years. Fast forward to the new Dir en Grey Mode Of blu rays. I preordered all of them the day they were announced through JD. The first set came relatively soon after the official release, though none of my preorder goodies were included. I was not happy but whatever I'm never going to actually play an 8cm cd anyway. The second set took forever. They actually had to refund me for them then contact me when they found some. Again no preorder bonuses....to this day the last set of blu rays and the set box has not shown up. Ive emailed them...maybe 40 times now? Called about 20 times, left messages. messaged them 5 times on paypal. Nothing. Ive noticed on facebook that there are more and more people coming out that this has happened to lately. No refunds no communication no nothing. I paid with paypal so if I dont see a ship notice soon i can just turn it into a claim and get my money back, though im GUTTED that I wont be able to find the box and its looking like the blu rays are drying up on yahoo auctions so I may be screwed there too... It looks like most people here have good connections and probably wouldnt bother with them, but I wanted to get the word out just in case.

Is the clip the full song length? It feels like its missing something....

Ive always thought it was fascinating that men in the VK scene were put on display the way women are in the rest of the global entertainment industry. Its really conflicting...on one hand my personal opinion is that our society treats sex and legitimate sexual attention or overtures as an exchange. Women are raised to treat their sexuality as a sort of currency, that when they decide to be intimate with someone, they are somehow losing something or that the other person is "winning". Males are taught that they need to center all interactions around the possibility of taking part in these exchanges. Putting men on display like that inverts what could be called a "power" relationship. As a man theres a part of me that is gratified by this. Being male in most of the world means not necessarily being desired for who you are. We are conditioned to chase women and when we receive attention it often feels almost as if you got away with something. I hate that feeling and I've hated that dynamic my entire life. On the other hand seeing the girls react like little pigs is quite unsavory. I honestly feel for the band members in that always being evaluated based on how you look and having the fans screaming lewdly at you all the time (even to a male) must get distasteful. Though I fully understand that the reason 99% of musicians start their careers is to receive more attention of that sort. Though going online and seeing more comments on your outfit or your hair than on your music must be the reason why some bands abandon the VK look in some ways. Also I adore Kagrra. Gozen is a very special album for me. Especially ayashi no hikari and genoku. Its a shame we dont have any live footage from this album...
