Japan was reporting cases earlier than the US, and you have to remember how close China is to Japan economically. Japan is the #2 international travel destination for Chinese people, and Tokyo has the 2nd largest number of travelers from Wuhan of anywhere in the world. Osaka was also in the top 10. I wouldn't be surprised if it was here in Japan in December 2019. Japan, Thailand and Korea should all basically be on the same timeline, and quite a few weeks/a month ahead of Europe and North America. If Japan's cases really were growing exponentially in the world's oldest-skewed population, we wouldn't be talking about a couple thousand excess deaths given that the virus showed up in Japan earlier than most other places outside China. There would be tens of thousands of excess deaths hitting now, in March. On average, they have about 100,000 deaths a month (well, probably higher in the dead of winter and the height of summer and lower in other seasons). We'd notice if there were instead 150,000 deaths.

Oh, that's interesting, I actually didn't know places like that existed, I guess the only true sense of filming in a sacred place is probably Ryutaro performing at that chapel.

That sounds really interesting, I'll have to look into those, Bangi who is friends with Lumi is a pretty good amateur historian of witchcraft, especially the modern Era post 1950, and has a book in Japanese, but yeah. I haven't been able to actually find anything related to the origins of witchcraft in Japan outside of 憑き物筋.

So, I was sitting here and thinking about how many PVs have been filmed in a church and I honestly can't think of more than a handful. I also wonder how you get permission to record in a church, maybe they don't really care about the sacredness of the church in Japan, as in it's a place of worship, but for the right money you can film in there. Then again, there's been some pretty "evil" looking PVs filmed in churches, but Japan is generally secular, but also I'm pretty sure a Japanese church whether it's Christian (rare I know) or Catholic (even more rare? (someone who knows more about this than me can clear up my ignorance) would surely be a bit protective of their houses of worship? I suppose this topic is two fold then, a list of bands and PVs filmed in a church and how a bunch of guys dressed like demonic women can get a permit to film in a house of worship on sacred ground? Wow, now I'm reminded of bands doing the same thing on sacred ground in terms of temples and such. 🤯

That woman in that documentary I posted a link of leans more towards being a sexual witch and takes the sexuality of various religions and blends them into one. I only mention it because she has a lot of Hindu figurines and statues, etc.

I just rewatched a documentary about witches in Tokyo ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyheH-sHmeaMPrm4e0STy21lGrRX45vHU) and it got me thinking and I looked around and found that there is no topic about it here. So, are you into the occult, are you just a fan of Harry Potter, a practicing witch or just a fan of witches and witchcraft? Any wiccans here or for that matter, satanists (Levayen or satanic temple), modern pagans? Just curious about what experience people here have with it because lord knows that it's a wealth of subject matter in the VK world even if it's entirely lip service.
