Here we are boys and girls. Nintendo's long awaited and mysterious console has been revealed to us as of Thursday 10/20. The Nintendo Switch Release Date: MARCH 2017 So what the hell is it? The Nintendo Switch appears to be a console/handheld system tablet with 2 detachable one-handed controllers (called "Joy-Cons") that snap alongside the screen to act as a "3DS XXL", and yet the tablet has a second function, which involves a "Nintendo Switch Dock" that acts as both a charger and a console for gaming on your TV. HERE'S WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR Powered by NVIDIA's Tegra processor (Source: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2016/10/20/nintendo-switch/) It cannot play physical 3DS or Wii U games (Source: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201610/21118771.html) Your Nintendo Amiibo figures will be supported (Source: http://www.dualshockers.com/2016/10/21/nintendo-switchs-amiibo-support-confirmed/) A # of gaming companies are supporting it (Source: http://mms.businesswire.com/media/20161020005938/en/550862/4/NX_Partners.jpg?download=1) Capcom is VERY interested in bringing games from the PS4/XB1 to the Switch (http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/capcom-explores-nintendo-switch-porting-possibilities/) RUMORS TO BE CONFIRMED It will have 4GB of Ram & 32GB of Internal Storage (http://wccftech.com/nintendo-switch-4gb-ram-32gb-storage/) The Switch may support Micro SDXC Cards up to 128GB (http://wccftech.com/nintendo-switch-support-micro-sdxc-cards-128-gb-rumor/) The release date is the week of March 17th (https://twitter.com/LaurakBuzz/status/793947481574780928) We will have to wait until we draw closer to the release date for more details on the console's specifications. Now, I haven't purchased a Nintendo console since the N64 15-20 years ago lol but I will not lie, this is VERY tempting, especially if this will get 3rd party support, and the library of the Nintendo store will allow me to play classics on it. What do you guys think about this?

The ultimate gaming question, WHICH HASN'T BEEN ASKED BEFORE!? We may have had similar threads, but nothing with asking this in particular. So, what do you personally prefer? Do you have any reason why? Or are you not fussed, or can't even decide? Has one got more of the games you love? Feel free to discuss and debate!

This thread is aimed at both western RPGs and JRPGs. This can be from classics, to old hidden gems to the modern lot we either love or hate. Seeing as this has recently been voted as Japan's favourite genre, surely we've got some RPG lovers in the house too. Please note anything Western and Japanese is fine, including sub-genres like SRPG/TRPG. I'm personally super interested in Persona 5. I've only got Persona Arena and I didn't do my research before purchasing it since I, quite frankly, find arcade games to be a bore. Persona 5 looks more up my alley, and I'm planning to play Persona 4 whenever I have the chance. Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV are the other two expected shout outs in this thread, I'm sure. With the recently announced Ni No Kuni 2, that's definitely on my watch list. Now I just need to get my own PS4... Moving on to games I've enjoyed playing that aren't upcoming, I hold Bravely Default close to my heart for its pretty art and simple yet addicting battle style. I'm very much a fan of the Nintendo for its classy RPG titles, and that certainly goes for Fire Emblem too. Adore Awakening (and totally pumped for Fates ofc!). I recently got Golden Sun and Heroes of Mana (probably the worst game of the franchise knowing me..) that are both for the DS and sounded promising so I'm excited seeing how they play out. I've been trying out more titles on the PSP and Xbox too (getting onto the Wii in due time), and I'm excited when I can get my hands on Half Minute Hero and many more other PSP titles I've heard are worth a go with. I'm loving how Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery are getting on, but I've only recently started them and are the only Xbox ones I got with my RPG Xbox bundle I think are worth mentioning at the moment. For some oldies (to an extent), Luminous Arc is my selection for the hidden gem franchise, and Avalon Code for my obscure pick. I was lucky enough to have gotten both LA games as a kid and still love them to this day. I still find it surprising I can handle the graphics, and while I'd love to get to classics like Final Fantasy's earlier works (in which I have tried a few for a few weeks at a time), this is still a barrier for me. Anyone else feel me? AC looked pretty to me, and it's got one of the best looking systems I've ever had the pleasure to play. I can't leave out Rune Factory Frontier either, since that is so addicting. Forget about Harvest Moon, the Rune Factory series wins it for appeal all round. So what are you favourite titles in the RPG genre? Any you're looking forward to? Any obscure ones you care to share?
