  1. Even though "gibkiy gibkiy gibkiy" are a newer band I think it's already safe to say they're one of the greatest vk bands of all time. Even if they were to disband tomorrow my opinion wouldn't change. Because their exitisting work I think is already enough to make this judgement. And they're line-up is fucking legendary kazuma (Merry Go Round), aie (deadman, the god and death stars, the studs), kazu (蜉蝣, DIMMDIVISION., the god and death stars, STEREO.C.K), sakura (L'Arc~en~Ciel ). Nagoya gods I'd like to know what everyone else thinks. Are they even in the discussion after only 2 albums, 1 single, And 2 V.A appearances making for only a total of 24 songs? IMO I really do think so. BTW listening to gibkiy×3 while I wrote this Their discography (LIST WITH IMAGES ONLY NO DOWNLOAD): My honest rating ()

  3. Nobody's posted another analysis yet, so I decided to put another one up. Hope that's okay! Japanese (Credit to 匂宮’s diary) English It doesn’t seem to me that the PV has a whole lot to do with the song itself, besides some idol pictures on the wall and Daisuke acting out writing letters to the idol, but Daisuke’s expressions and gestures are poignant and I feel like you can get the general image of some guy(s) being mentally disturbed. However, maybe I've missed something! Although the song is rather straightforward, I guess the part that really intrigues me is that how much overlap there seems to be between the idol and visual kei industry, especially in the way dating and information about bands are handled, promotion, etc. So I’ve often wondered if this song was also a tongue-in-cheek way of also talking about the way some gya think and behave. Besides the different slang both fan bases use, the main difference seems to be that idols generally like to promote the “girl next door” image, while visual kei usually goes for the “handsome prince” or “bad boy” image. In either case, however, they’re selling their fans a certain kind of fantasy. How would you analyze your interest in visual kei? What are your thoughts on the whole idol and/or visual kei concept? Do you think a certain kind person is more attracted to either or both scenes?

Since there is no full-length album release in sight, I may as well review the single for those curious. The track is great! Quite a departure from the material on the "Switch" EP, "In Secret" is a reserved, mid tempo rocker; dark and very Kagerou-esque. It opens with a haunting harmonized guitar line that leads into a choppy riff. The verse has a great melody that is actually kind of enka-sounding, while Yuana, Kazu, and amon bang out the chords in unison . The chorus has those reaching, drawn out lines that Kagerou is remembered for, but Selm's voice is a lot fuller than Daisuke's was, and is really makes STEREO.C.K. so different from Kagerou, despite having both Yuana and Kazu in the band. And I absolutely love amon's tasteful drumming as well; he gets the job done without throwing in the slightest of ego-driven fills. I am in love with this track. Can't wait for the "Nos Black" single to go on sale to the public, and am more than ready for a full length!!
