The forum maybe coming to an end, but there is still J-rock one and so much more so we can always still keep in touch and enjoy each others time doing what we love. Since all the memes are being mentioned again, I guess I'll "come clean" =P and add some of my own thoughts.
 
I was Harambe, Ditto, and Saishuuuu. Even during times when I found myself occupied with other stuff in my life, I couldn't help myself from memeposting on the forum.  Moving on, there was always this pervasive cynicism creep that became really obvious during release dry spells which would lead to reddit-posting and oddball topics. While a bit annoying in retrospect, the discussions were always fun to some degree, whether I was participating or just observing the chaos.

@Raburr7 and I have had a back-and-forth since March of 2013 trading music and whatnot, and got brief glimpses into what he was doing in his life the past 6~ish years.

With the occasional other individual(s) (sorry if I've forgotten), we would have dubtrack.fm sessions in the host-kei room, which upon reflection were really cathartic for me. They were always really fun.
 
On a related note, @hiroki for several months straight met up with me nearly every day (if I recall) on that same Dubtrack channel to discuss music, life, etc. Unknowingly, you helped me through one of the more uncertain periods of my life. I can't thank you enough.

Looks like they dropped this and changed the name to "-入門の書-" [2020.12.10] and changed the tracklist to all previous Vexent songs. Maybe they didn't want to do the light popish stuff they had before.

@Seimeisen YESSSSSSSS!!!!!! Lullaby is literally one of their top songs SMH but they voted for all of the hard to get songs it seems. Trying to complete that collection I see haha

Well I mean that's for anything in the world. You are supposed to ask before you take someone's material and if say no then you can't and most of the time you just share royalties or something like that. Anywho, I'm sure that's why he didn't want to mention the band members names in the beginning, he knew this was coming and maybe why everyone else previously left the band. Maybe all of this was catching up to them with different threats and lawsuits and stuff. You never know.

Yessssss they are still around! I'm happy and I hope they can find a new member to fit them and do things right!

@suji From their tweetes it seems like an official band but they were kicking off their activities with a cover song. During Shins live he may have been advertising this band to get followers for it. I couldn't watch all of his stream but I do remember him counting the followers and trying to reach 400 followers or something like that. It also looks like Liam is the one that formed the band maybe but Aki is getting most of the credit because he's the most well known out of all of them, just speculation from the others accounts

But as I mentioned before, most small bands are not focusing on their overseas fans at all. If they can't even sell out small venues in Tokyo yet, they have to focus on their sales in Japan first. Selling "rare/hard to get" stuff can help then.
The point is that many overseas fans don't really wanna understand this.
I've been in the same position for many years myself (not being in Japan), so it's not like I don't know how it feels. Yet from a realistic point of view, not so strange/surprising that bands do this imo.
 
Also of course everything would be easier without a middle man. But if you have to choose between getting the item through a middle man or not getting the item at all, is a choice.
 To complain every time any band has a live limited release gets a bit annoying, because those complaining are the ones never contacting a middle man offering help while the silent ones do.

hey all you cool cats and kittens! We have luckily not disbanded in 2 months as the coolio Karma's Hat predicted but who knows haha.
finally we were able to arrange photos during this crazy corona festival.

Yeah in asian culture, usually everyone is supposed to work for the same goal, pretty much follow the leader and if you deviate from that goal then you aren't a good person and you're against everyone else. so they use that saying of being selfish quite a lot in Japan for those who try to be different and it helps to keep everyone in line really.
