Hi all \m/ My band Valkyrie Kiss' first single "Set Me Free" is out now! Would love it if y'all checked it out and lemme know what you think!~ <3 http://valkyriekiss.bandcamp.com/album/set-me-free-single

I really like this one. Your bass is so nice. it's good to see some 5-string playing btw how do you record your audio? Your bass tone is nice.
  4. dibur

Very cool, I'll check your band out. *v* I've recently been exposed to a lot of vocaloid music by my close friends and I'm finding a lot of really good and very interesting songs. As a singer, it's a lot of fun to try and sing certain vocaloid melodies that were obviously written for a robot. xD A lot of them are very organic songs that lend themselves well to human singing, though~ What kind of music does your band play?
  5. dibur

Thank you Artemis! Hoping that the fates are in favor of both our bands this year. ^w^

Artemis!!! How cool to see you here. XD And very glad to hear Sol Ardour is recording. Keep at it Valkyrie Kiss in the same boat at the moment. Also, I checked out Sol Ardour's bandcamp and am quite impressed with the songwriting on ET NEXUS TO UTOPIA.

This is really good, wow. You're a very good bassist. And nice bass, so shiny XD Lots of vocaloid music leaves a lot of room for spiffy basslines and fun arrangements overall!
  8. dibur

Ahh they're so good live. Thank you for the YT upload! I really enjoy this band. Man, their drummer is really creative. And pretty too omfgs
  9. dibur

    Eeee thank you ^u^
  10. Hiya hiya hiya! From lurking and peeking around some of the threads, I've seen/heard that there are a lot of people here with some very good opinions and insight on the whole "JRock-inspired / Visual Kei-inspired" thing. It's an eternal balancing act for those of us who choose to pursue this kind of music outside of Japan, I think. ANYWAY, that said, this is a 1:40 preview of my band's first single "Set Me Free" (the full song goes live on the 20th). Would love to hear what y'all think of it. As a band we really love Janne da Arc, Acid Black Cherry, Dir en grey, and a bunchaothers and stuff ^u^ Edit: the link now points to the full version of the song on YouTube, since it's, yenno, released and all. ^^ http://youtu.be/QRrARgw5emo

    Yeah I checked out a bit of Gacharic Spin. Man, those chops. I hope doll$boxx doesn't go stagnant, I really want to hear some new stuff from them ;;
  12. dibur

Anyone ever listen to this all-female band? Apparently the rhythm section came from another band called Gacharic Spin, and hooked up with power metal band Light Bringer's lead singer, Fuki. They're REALLY solid instrumentally, and... dat vocalist. <3 "Omocha no Heitai" "Take My Chance"
  13. dibur

Very cool. I myself am a sucker for string arrangements, I could see this being played with two to three electric guitars as well.
  14. dibur

Thanks, will do. From what I've read of it so far it looks like a good/insightful thread~

Hi John, I'm new here too and wow! Good to see other Janne fans *v* very nice guitar playing and singing btw~~
