yea, it's pretty handy. install the software, plug your instrument in, adjust the sensitivity level, then you can start recording.

i plug my bass to my pedal board, then to the interface. for melt, the chain goes as follow: bass -> diamond compressor -> vintage microtubes (overdrive) -> b7k (preamp) -> interface -> computer fyi, this is the interface i am using: http://www.rolandus.com/products/details/1248/498

my band focuses on songs that appeared in anime/comic/games (ACG). in the case of vocaloid, there are a huge list of songs appeared under "project diva". and sometimes artists like LiSA, the gazette, aqua timez, kanon wakeshima, etc... has a song or two for anime... so it actually includes a variety of songs despite its "genre" being acg.
