2020 Clever is just hits different and we don't like it.
 
DEG attempt at remaking their own songs have always been hit or miss. And Clever is one of those misses for sure. Actually most of their remakes after they turned bit into Ooga Booga sounds are mostly misses for me. There are lots of beats but lack of harmony. Lucky they didn't ruin Fukai the last time. I actually like that one.
 
 

Idk, Ignite doesn’t sound at all like their previous releases, the band is constantly evolving and this goes in the same direction as Elice and Last Faith. Sena did say last year that JILUKA was entering a “third stage” and this is the direction they are going to for now. 
 
You guys complained endlessly about the change in direction back when Mephisto came out and the reviews for Metamorphose were filled with comments such as “repetitive”. This is different and you are complaining again? 
 
If you want the band to keep redoing Twisted Pain, take a seat, you’ll get tired of waiting.
 
Ignite is not outstanding but it was never meant to be a single, it’s a live banger, was supposed to be released as such and according to the attendees of the last oneman, it’s fun live, which is ultimately what matters to both the band and the actual audience. 

I was going to say the same! for the heavy oriented songs on the album is one of the best to me and such a fun way to start the album with high energy
(how did we get from talking about the single to trashing songs from TIW? haha)

If I’m pointing the finger at any song on TiW then it’s probably going to be Zetsuentai for pulling the old “let’s do the fast and heavy thing one more time before we close out, boys”  yet again

Well, at least Celebrate Empty Howls is a complete song. Devote My Life takes one idea and just runs with it. Of all the songs on The Insulated World, that’s the one that needs to go. 

I still think Arche is good but holy shit is that album bloated. Keep it under an hour from now on, boys 

The new song is definitely better than I thought it would be,  but still nothing really too memorable. Its like a mix-up of songs from their last two albums, that brings nothing new to the table. 
 
Their last album had like one song I liked. Arche was great overall, but thats 6 years ago... They have really lost their touch imo.

Imo DEG was at their peak in terms of creativity, atmosphere, technicality and musicianship from about 2009-2013. Songs like Different Sense, Diabolos and Rinkaku are just on another level even compared to their own discography. I also loved a lot of their “br00tal” remakes even though they sometimes forgot what was special about the original, for example with Obscure. But they made a lot of gems like Kiri to Mayu and Zan as well, and it allowed them to expirement in a way that I don’t think they would anymore, like with Tsumi to Batsu/Kisei. For me Sustain the Untruth was really bad in comparison and while most of Arche was much better than that single thankfully, and it was a great album overall, it also sometimes felt a little to clean and conventional. TIW was great too, I loved the aggression and emotion so much, but the songwriting and riffs sometimes felt too simple compared to their best work. But I think overall, while they may not be at their absolute creative peak, this band is still great and I’ve never been truly disappointed by any of their albums. This single feels like a cool mix of TIW and Uroboros (maybe even some Unraveling) and I can’t wait to hear the new album in 5 years.

Ya know, it's interesting...A lot of people seem to have a problem with me consistently talking about and mentioning The Most High. So let's look at this...
 
#1. When I say "The Most High", do you automatically assume that you understand what I mean when I say that? Most people have no clue, yet they assume that their understanding is the same as mine. They never ask questions to seek clarification on the matter.
 
#2. Am I forcing my beliefs on anyone else? Never have and never will. Whenever I mention TMH, it's always in reference to myself. I could literally care less if anyone else believes what I believe. Nor do I care what others believe. We all have the freedom to believe in whatever we choose.
 
#3. Does what I eat, make you shit? It shouldn't. Me talking about my beliefs literally poses no threat to you, nor does it have any effect on or control over your life.
 
So if all of these ring true, then why do people still find offense with it?
 
Well, it may simply be a spiritual issue:
 
The word for "spirit" in Hebrew is "ruach", which literally means "wind". What does the wind do? It blows things in a certain direction. So if i'm coming in one spirit, and someone else is coming with another...we're essentially being blown in two different directions...and what happens when two different winds collide? Resistance. They don't mix.
