Since all the memes are being mentioned again, I guess I'll "come clean" =P and add some of my own thoughts.
 
I was Harambe, Ditto, and Saishuuuu. Even during times when I found myself occupied with other stuff in my life, I couldn't help myself from memeposting on the forum.  Moving on, there was always this pervasive cynicism creep that became really obvious during release dry spells which would lead to reddit-posting and oddball topics. While a bit annoying in retrospect, the discussions were always fun to some degree, whether I was participating or just observing the chaos.

@Raburr7 and I have had a back-and-forth since March of 2013 trading music and whatnot, and got brief glimpses into what he was doing in his life the past 6~ish years.

With the occasional other individual(s) (sorry if I've forgotten), we would have dubtrack.fm sessions in the host-kei room, which upon reflection were really cathartic for me. They were always really fun.
 
On a related note, @hiroki for several months straight met up with me nearly every day (if I recall) on that same Dubtrack channel to discuss music, life, etc. Unknowingly, you helped me through one of the more uncertain periods of my life. I can't thank you enough.

I swear I felt my heart breaking when I read about this site's time to be buried. While I haven't been active here for years now, so freaking many of you will always have a special place in my heart. While I must admit that I have forgotten so many names, I still remember all IRL meetings, good ol' MSN and Skype chats and all the amusing drama. I have lost so many nights of sleeping when I have had much nicer time chatting with you all, or browsing threads. Even after years I still automatically click the bookmark of this site at least once a month, and it always makes me smile to see so many familiar names. I have gained so many IRL and online, even Facebook friends, even got my first relationship out of this site. 😅

As I said, I have pretty shitty memory so I don't remember names, but I'd like to think that everyone who matters to me, and has helped me with problems and even growing up, you know who you are. I love you all so goddamn much, and I sincerely hope we will stay in contact at least once in a while. And if we happen to come across each other  IRL, let's smile and remember all of the lovely happenings we have had all these years.

WOW THIS SURE SuuuCKS AM I RITE, AHAHA (jk)

cali≠gari will release a new CD titled "15予告版" (15 yokoku-ban) early next year. The oneman gig commemorating the release will be held on 2021/02/11 so there's a good chance that the CD comes out around that time (no further details are known yet). Judging from the title it's safe to assume that it will be a single preceding a future album.
 
The band also announced a tour titled "Tour 15" that will last from 2021/03/06 till 2021/06/28. This makes me think that the potential album that will follow the "15予告版" CD might be released around that timeframe, but the guys haven't talked of an album yet, so we shall see...

I know I didn't post much at the end, because I took a break from the internet and especially social media. I don't know if people really recognize me, since I am here only sporadically, despite being signed since a long time. I admit, I like lurking more than actually talking to other people. I still took part in some discussions and being the weird introvert that I am, I usually regretted voicing my stupid opinions afterwards. In the end I didn't delete any posts though, because I feel that's part of forum culture, owning up to the bullshit you say, even if it's cringe and letting it stay on the internet. Some disputes and lovely banter here was funny though and it fills me with a strange fuzzy feeling to know that i have been part of some fandom drama. It's like being part of an old folk tale, you know? Now I wonder how much of the drama will be even remembered in 10 years…
 
Honestly, a year ago or so I believed MH would stay for much longer, since the forum managed to outlive most other de-centralized communities and websites. Seems I was wrong and it comes to an end sooner than I thought. I know there's a new community on discourse, but I have to admit, I don't like social media sites and centralized web hubs and places. I think discourse is a better alternative than having nothing, but MH's UI was miles better. MH also feels so much more personal… I cannot explain it. I just don't really feel the same thing when I go online on sites like reddit, facebook, etc. Everything's quite dull and surface level, particularly on FB.  VK fandom communities on other sites are also rather meh…
 
Anyway, before I start writing bullshit, I just want to thank all the people who kept the site alive for more than a decade. I discovered a lot of great bands and music here, some of the discussions were entertaining to read. Hope you are all doing fine, despite the train wreck of a year we had.

It's really touching to get notifications for being mentioned here. I'll definitely keep a lot of hilarious memories from this place as well. If I had to pick one, that one time we all joined forces and exposed Kisaki over his fake band history was definitely a peak.
 
Whether we interacted or not, I hope everyone gets to live their best life beyond this forum. Have a good graduation and departure™ my dear monochrome citizens. Take care and stay healthy.

one time at sakuracon i walked into a back room and i saw the entire mh staff team peeing on each other. 

M-H will disband at 2021/01/01 due to losing confidence of visual kei since the same date, and their alter-ego band "JROCK ONE" will commence activities

they will still search for visual-kei news in the future but will not post anywhere in the near future

PS1: M-H people are talented enough to find news, and thus visual kei no longer needs them anymore
PS2: that mod, psychonnect_rozen, and vk stan twitter/reddit/facebook groups should be happy for this news
PS3: hope that this thread will not be deleted or edited by that mod, who is not willing to delete other threads upon his request

Oh, I miss Lestat. Was cool to see someone else in the world who both liked VK and unironically enjoyed the band Tigertailz. She had a lovely writing style as well.
 
I've always been a fairly casual poster, but I've had a lot of fun browsing around this forum over the years. I love watching the development of threads about new bands, in particular. Watching people try to guess whether they'll be good or flop from only a photo and a 30-second teaser, or watching the hype slowly build or die over the weeks always makes it fun to visit the news section.
 
That story about Kawaii_Minpha discreetly farting to try to get a masturbating neighbour to go away was also one of the strangest things I've ever seen on a forum. Lol, even if that person was just trolling, that's a mental image that has really stuck with me. 😂

I will always laugh at this. 
 
But Ive had the pleasure of talking to a lot of you guys over the years. Some of which I’ve reconnected with since Fukkatsu such as @WhirlingBlackand @EzraEroguro.  I remember talking to @Biopanda , Val, and some other folk in the Skype chat till the wee hours of the morning. I remember having the biggest crush on @allisapp for awhile. Meeting @Zeus’s soft spoken and cool ass last year will always be one of my highlights. I remember cracking up at @Jigsaw9’s puns.
 
Man so many memories to bring up...and I’m starting to tear up. 
 
Even the not so great times here I’ll cherish to en extent. @blackdoll you are a trip. But passionate. @nekkichi, even after the back and fourth me and you have had, I’ve come to warm up to your persona. @LestatI apologize for lashing out at you the way I did back in the day. You were cool to chat with on regular basis. And I hope you’re well. 
 
Rest of you, I enjoyed the convos and and music we’ve shared! I’ve become more privy to hella bands and stuck around this scene much longer than I intended to because of this place. I can’t wait to eventually chat with you guys more in our new home!

Thanks for holding shit down! I’ve watched Batsu and Fukkatsu fold into itself due to lack of proper leadership. Things weren’t always perfect here either but y’all put your best foot forward when it was time to and shit got better. It’s sad that MH is ending but this is honestly the best way it could go out. A lot of that is due to you guys. Idk how many of y’all are transferring over but just in case some of y’all don’t, your services were greatly appreciated!

As much as I don't really remember how exactly I discovered MH, I've been having a really good time since I joined here back in 2011, when I was 19.
My best memories, aside from discussing about music were:
- making a lot of threads about Japanese heavy metal
- a lot of awesome conversation with users I don't see around, especially Chianti, Ronluna and Chibicco San. If you guys are still somewhere around, under a different name or not, I hope you're doing well
-  spectaculating a lot about Diru's "Dum Spiro Spero" (MOO meme anyone? 🤣 ) and Maximum the Hormone's "Yoshuu Fukushuu"
 
I only feel bad, because between 2014-2018 I've kinda abandoned and even forgot about MH, I don't know why 😢 But coming back here was such a great feeling! Thank you fellow MHers once again, and let's keep the community alive at J-Rock One!

My first contacts with the forum were through googling lyrics I think. From then on I met some really nice people, who became a big part of my life and who would motivate me in the things I did and still do. The forum became part of my everyday life as Tainted World, the short-lived Toasted Waffles period and in the end as Monochrome Heaven. Gonna be weird not coming here every day to lurk and to make an occasional post somewhere.

Closing off, let's remember that through all the good, bad or strange times it has always just been about the music, maaan. We're just a bunch of people going crazy over some (mostly) random underground fan-exploiting-or-worse weirdos who probably don't even know or suspect we even exist. Opinions are opinions, no need make a big fuss over them, but... I think we can agree that visual kei at its peak has made us all feel a bit of what @Shaolan974 once formulated that has stuck with me to this day:

I lurked for a long time before making an account, but even then I still wasn’t very active. Even so, monochrome heaven was always my go-to place for news and new bands. I found so many of my current favorite bands because of this place and I feel so thankful for it. My current life revolves around a band I found on here through the “new band has formed” section. And I was able to find my second favorite band at an event where my current favorite band was playing, so again it feels like I have to thank monochrome heaven indirectly for that too. It trips me out to think that without monochrome heaven, I might’ve not found my favorite band (or it might’ve taken me a lot longer) and I wouldn’t be following them around right now. I feel so grateful this place existed. Something so small about it has impacted my life so much. It hurts to see this place go. 

The MH plug.dj sessions deserve a shout out. I remember in the early days we'd get a lot of people in those. Fun times.
