Why have young people in Japan stopped having sex? - The Guardian This article touched on something that really scares me about Japan...when people start thinking that relationships are too much work and they "can't be bothered." Just read the article if you want to be scared about Japan as well XD Thoughts?

Damn, wow...that was powerful, Missa. Thanks for sharing. Maybe a forum isn't the best place for you then XD I don't know why you would be listening to anything other than that amazing soundtrack in the game. It is probably one of the best games sound tracks from the past 5 years imo.

May, today's episode was soooooooo predictable. Cardin gets his ass handed to him, Jaune mans up, all goes well...I don't understand why I still like it as much as I do XD Also, I love how this is pretty much just you and I talking, Zess lol

LOL That is a kind of hilarious reason to not want to fly. God, I wish I had that kind of opportunity lol. Here in the US, public transportation just isn't that way...if I want to go to a show, I pretty much need to drive. Furthest I have ever driven for a show was about 3 or so hours, which really isn't that big of a deal. That's probably because I just don't really have any friends near me that are in to my kind of music nearly as much as I do...that and when bands come that I do want to see, it is usually a 14 hour drive minimum XD Shit dude, that was heavy...not sure what to say in reply to it because nothing can quite do it justice. The only thing I have to say is that not committing suicide is NOT being cowardly. Life is fucking hard sometime and sticking through it was way more brave than having a small boost of misplaced drive...So I just leave it at that. Fucking this. It's almost odd in a way, music seems to do more for me when I am down than it does when things are going well. It's almost like some times the music does a better job of understanding you than any words ever could.

I think it just a case of Japan marketing towards the collectors. I feel like in Japan, if you want something you need to be a hardcore fan, because they price everything way too high if you are not. So obviously, if they change their approach, they will obviously get less money from the collectors. But they also stand to gain more from the passive fans. The question is how much? Maybe in VK there just not enough people in the wider audience to benefit from opening it up to that. I also think that it stand to reason that you could correctly market to both the collector and the wider audience at the same time if you really try.

I got my preorder for my PS4 in ana it should be here in 29 days XD As far as FFV and KHIII, while to say that I have been outraged at how square it met timelines on either of those two games in an understatement, but I am fairly confident that they will both make it out this gen...lots of people are theorizing that this might be the last console gen in the way we know them now. As far at the differences go, PS4 is technically more powerful, but I think it is more or less a wash. The Xbone no longer will restrict second hand sales either. Also, you should check out Gaikai, cause the PS4 might theoretically get backwards compatibility because of it...I mean, it's really up in the air in the moment as to what gaikai can do or not, but there is a lot of speculation that you will be able to stream older games on to your PS4.

Man, why did we let this thread die?

Magic Mountain being a boss made me lol pretty hard. I am pretty excited in every aspect except the music, it still sounds really synth and cheesy to me. Either way I am damn excited.

Close! lol That was Dead Rider off of Phantoms, which also has the track Phallus Phaser on it. To add one more, I always have found REALies to be an odd band name. Are you supposed to say Real Lies or reallys? lol ever time I see it I just want to go O RLY??!?!

Hello and welcome to the forum! Hope you enjoy your stay and find some new music along the way (I really didn't mean that to rhyme, I swear). Believe it or not, MH started out of the midwest by two guys...one from Illinois and the other from Wisconsin (myself).

I used to really like BIS...and now every time them come up on shuffle, I think to myself "what the hell did I ever like about them?" Like seriously, I am not sure if they even have one good song anymore... Huh, it is kind of the opposite to me. I still kind of enjoy KuRt, but nowhere near the level I did when they were around. But Chemical Pictures stuff, specifically the stuff while Jimi was still in the band, I still love the heck out of.

To be honest, I never knew about this. Time to do some research...because this seems just so damn bonkers. But it does put in perspective CD prices...man, some times I really think Japan is fucked unless it wakes up and realizes the world is changing. I have always found Japan's music industry to be frustratingly (and stupidly) exclusionary. With every passing year, the music industry is massively changing. There used to be a time where I only wanted the physical copy, but now I could care less (I think this has something to do with maturity as well - a realization that the music is what is important and not the packaging so many people seem to cling to). Most of my music purchases over the past year have been digital. I can guarantee you that I would have bought a hell of a lot more Japanese releases if I could buy them for $10 digitally.

I was trying to think what Girugamesh's "song" would be. If I go based on what their most popular song is on last.fm is, it would be Break Down. But that doesn't seem right to me. I feel like they when they were most popular and well received what during their Self-titled album period. If I were to go with the the most "appealing" song off of that album, it would be Patchwork. But I am going to go out on a limb and say Kowarete Iku Sekai. Even if it isn't their most popular song, it says to me what giru was at that time and was filled with a power and emotion they have never captured again.

^haha, too true. When it came on shuffle the other day, I was thinking that Girugamesh's Jarring Fly is a pretty odd name...Like is the fly that unusual that we are like WTF is that thing!?! lol

My mother and father are hardly what I would call music fans. They used to listen to more when I was younger, but they pretty much doesn't listen to anything anymore. My mother pretty much only listens to Christian music at this point. I don't know if she listens to music when I am not around, but I know she hardly ever listens in the car and I can't even recall the last time she turned on the radio at home. I think probably the biggest amount of her music consumption comes from the choir at church. My father on the other hand used to be a fairly big country music fan. I don't think he ever really put much thought in to the music that he was listening to, though...just kind of what ever was on the radio and was popular. Now he has pretty much given up on listening to music and has talk radio on all the time...which is probably worse (though I am not sure). I can say the first concert I have any memory of going to was because of my Dad's musical tastes when he was much younger...Peter, Paul, and Mary XD So pretty much interest in music, yet alone the kind that I listen to, is in no way from my parents.

Who do you think would be the cuddliest member of MH?

I guess some people aren't set up to enjoy certain types of music. For me at this point in my life, that is Melt-Banana. To put it bluntly, I found this album kind of annoying. There were some songs where I didn't mind like Left Dog (Run, Caper, Run) but then there were others that I just wanted to flat out skip. For example, My Missing Link just felt song. The vocals, the guitars, and the drums just felt so at odds with each other. There are certain points in the song where the guitar disappears from the foreground and we have the squeeky vocals and the drums with these awkward tom tom hits and it just feels so wrong. I'm not about to say that this album is a crime against humanity or anything...there is stuff even for me to like (like the entire first half of Candy Gun). But I can say that I don't think I will ever listen to anything on this album on purpose again. Keep on thinking this sounds like Deerhoof put on fast forward lol.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in to any bands in a similar vein as Sugar...that kind of dark, groovy, and jazz-tinged rock. I know we have Loki's solo project, König, but other than that, I got nothing.

This Scene literally made me tear up, and i think it was genius on naughty dog's part to include something so intense and tear jerking right at the very beginning of the game. To me It made Joel's character stand out from the very beginning and really made you feel for him emotionally right from the get go, also it sets up the premise and harshness of the world and setting excellently. Fucking this. This soooooo hard. I was playing it with my gf and another friend watching, and you could feel the collective strain of us all trying to fight back the tears. There is something to really be said about having you start off not playing as Joel...god, it is giving me the goosebumps just thinking of it. This is beautiful, Cat
