I am kind of in between. I can't say I am a fan of all out moshing...I feel like it really takes away from the music and that's the reason I'm there. That said, if the song if full of energy I want to be jumping around and feeding back into that. If the band if playing a heavy song, I'm gunna be head banging. It drives me nuts when I am at a show and everyone is standing still (unless the show calls for that). Worst mosh ever? When douchey guys try to start a circle pit at a Boris concert.
  2. The video looked promising but man if that chorus doesn't sound bland.
  3. I'm just happy to see that they aren't afraid to pull music from earlier in their career...I would have expected the set to be all Monsters and Redeemer stuff.

First episode of Season 2 is out! Zess and I can go back to geeking out now. Thoughts on episode 1: -Not sure I care for Emerald's design. Most of it is cool, but her cleavage looks really weird and her top really doesn't look like it would "hold" her in. I suppose we will find out soon enough with the cosplayers. Also, does she really need the "model on a runway" walk? -Ruby quoting Nixon ad throwing the double peace signs had me in stitches -Food fight was amusing -Food fight clean up was way too Harry Potter for my tastes -New opening song isn't as catchy and the "sketchy" effects they use during it look terrible. Man, those 15 minutes flew by. Not blow away by the new episode, but I would be lying if I didn't say it was really enjoyable.

Just finished reading The Demon of Undoing. Was recommend it by a friend as something that was on the short read side of things. It had its ups and downs but over all it was just an alright book, not sure if I would ever recommend it to someone.

  18. I figure since 2014 is more than halfway done, I should post my 2013 list! XD I have been sitting on this list for a while and I was figuring I would never post it since it is so late and this point, but hey, what the hell...here it is anyways. I originally was going to write up a little something for each album, but if I did that, I just would never find the time to actually finish this (and was a huge reason I never got it up in January). This list will be separated in to 4 tiers. Think of it as this: Tier 4 - Stuff that took me by surprise or was pretty solid. Good music but not necessarily something that stuck with me for that long after listen to it. These albums might also suffer from having some great songs but then also a lot of filler Tier 3 - These are albums that I really enjoyed but still lacked the spark to take them further up the list. These usually felt more complete albums than in tier 4 but could still end up feeling a bit same-y as a whole. Also, I usually ended up spinning these albums more that those in tier 4. Tier 2 - The great stuff of 2013. These albums don't have a heck of a lot of faults and I listened to them a lot. One of the key factors to making it this high up on the list is being very memorable. Tier 1 - The closest albums to perfection...the stuff that I played over and over and over and when I talk about them I just gush about how amazing they are. Essentially I have a hard on for these albums.
