Ooh, Alaska. It has a really clean look, but unfortunately as a late-night watcher the white would probably kill my eyes after finishing an episode/movie. (backlight could always be adjusted) I would have to say it is one of my favorites aesthetically though.

It's weird being a Filipino-white mutt. While I grew up with an "Asian" set of ideals, lifestyle, family, friends, food, etc., I still feel like an outsider due to my appearance and social relations. If I don't shave or have a bit of scruff I'm Pakistani or somewhere from the Middle East, shaved I get either Spanish (not a bad guess) or some random SEA country (even better guess). When I've explained to some of my acquaintances in the past about my interests, they're confused why I'm "obsessed" or "so interested" with Japanese culture as a Filipino (typically they have no idea what a "Filipino" is to which they judge by my appearance). While I find race should have no limitations on cultural interests, and ignorance (in a non-negative sense) is unavoidable and should be taken into consideration, it's weird explaining something that came so natural to me growing up. On the flip-side, other than my childhood I've also never been in an Asian bubble. (simply out of demographics) As a college student I chill with my southern white friends, and in no way have I even been treated as the token Asian-guy because I'm just Dan to them (reason why I'm close friends with them). While it's been fun, it's difficult that I can't really talk to people about what I'm most passionate about which is why I'm really glad this community exists since everyone converses about this type of stuff like something out of an everyday conversation without a need for "reasoning". It's still a bit lonely sometimes though ...

The title says Matsutake Works (マツタケワークス) in katakana (matsutake is apparently a pine mushroom, hence the shrooms). From Google search it looks affiliated w/ vk bands (Matsuoka Age/ Age), but I'm not entirely sure what's beyond that. (newbie Japanese learner ) (UNDER CODE also showed up so they might have something to do with it, idk)

Got my CDs earlier today (if I wasn't busy with some stuff tonight they would be uploaded, I'll get it done sometime this weekend). TIL the behind the scenes stuff for the signed DVD and type-A for Period is about 1hr 40min. It's like Christmas !

Def. got Royz vibes from the intro of the first song, but wow those vocals... I'm also going to keep an eye on these guys, and if I'm inclined enough might get the single.

Experimental Technical Girugacore (wut) I heard ERRA in the background of one of their concert videos, but wow have they gotten a ton of influence... You can tell ESPECIALLY towards the end of "reflection". Dat djent. Very, very, excited.

I never really responded to this, haha. While this is definitely a different sound direction than Ray℃ (and different production I assume), I find this a pretty nice "returning" song. It's not really sparkly/melodic/atmospheric, but I think over time (and especially upon hearing the other tracks on the single) I think I'll get used to otoiroha. Gentle to the ears and gives me a cheesy grin.

kiki was my favorite =( , I wonder how that's going to affect their new single... *I was mistaken, "A" is the name of their second oneman so I don't think there is any new material in the works just yet. The better question is if there is either going to be a change in Airish's sound direction or do kiki and ao just don't agree to the continued direction Airish is in. If ao has been the composer I'm almost shifting to the former.
