In my neighborhood people come and go like nothing is happening, most people go out without masks and gloves (because are dumb or think there's a fucking plot behind it, of course!) and the lines at supermarket (at least when the quarantine started here) were so messy that people started to argue for who was there first (there were three lines, separated, for the postal office, a true mess). The reopening started here two weeks ago and there were masses at seaside or at station, imagine when restaurants, bars and hairdressers will open this Monday... OMG!

This Monday the UK government announced that people could do unlimited outdoor exercise and that they should go to work but not use public transport. One thing I can praise about the UK is that people can queue and respect distancing in queues... But at the same time buses in London were absolutely packed and I saw many people at the park today. 

I'd like to glimpse the future and see where countries like Japan and Brazil will end up at this rate because they're really pretending nothing is happening. It makes me feel complacent, like, surely it isn't that bad then! But no, Im not putting myself at risk any time soon. 

@platy just remembered that the most disappointing situation is that president of Belarus said that "if you don't see corona it doesn't exist" and "the best way to kill the virus is working on the fields and if you're sick then drink some vodka and come back to your work".

This is an absolute madness but after my comment Machi wrote me and now we're talking all day on insta 😳

I think considering everything going on, they should be flexible with laws and bills and i'm surprised they didn't have some sort of pandemic protocols. But in general, at least from my friends in Japan, Japanese people aren't taking this very seriously from what I hear.

@haizuru japanese aren't taking it seriously, that's right - this year, every, like, EVERY public park was crowded, because of cherry blossom picnics, I wanted to go to shinjuku gyoen because I thought no one will be there, but it ended up with me standing in the crowd of drunk people, and I decided to go home as soon as possible... public transport is also always full.

And now we are here, waiting for the Italy scenario...

Well I wish you safety and good health. I know it's a scary situation to be in when it seems that everyone else around you is being careless, and it's unfair that there isn't much you can do about it as an individual even to protect yourself. I'm sure since no one is being forced to close, a lot of businesses are probably not very merciful when employees want to stay home. I understand shutting things down risks the economic health but I feel like that can be fixed with time, losing lives cannot. So, please be as safe as you can and I hope things change there and they start taking it more seriously soon.

I don't think it's controversial but when you're on a forum for Japanese Rock/Visual Kei Music, do you really want to read that stuff or shit on YOSHIKI making an ass of himself?

@YuyoDrift - Fair point; the same reason why I've been largely avoiding the discussion in general here. It's just not the place.

Though, by the former statement, I meant more the general reaction I've been seeing as of late on various SNS applications as opposed of [reactions] solely pertaining to those on the current medium its being discussed upon.

There's too much going on right now in the world to be placing any emphasis on "who's doing the right thing" and "who is not", so anyone trying to pinpoint it just sounds like an asshole to someone somewhere, so I don't even bother giving my thoughts about it (and not here of all places haha).

laruku gets a bad rep in the west simply for being mainstream and ~not heavy, but they were fantastic (up until AWAKE in 2005 at least). don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. dune, heavenly, ray and awake are all great albums.

@saishuu I know that thing about "mainstream", but I think I love the balance, not really heavy music and deep voice sounds just great ☺ 

I'm an overall fan of their works. The "mainstream" stuff is just as enjoyable for me than anything else. "True" is my personal favorite. My reasons for still liking them are more emotional so I'm always happy to see them release anything solo or otherwise.

Watch Haruhi on your own then before it's too late!! I think it's the kind of anime best enjoyed alone anyways. By the time your done with Yuyu Hakusho/Utena it'll be next summer lol

If you're into the same thing, then it's easier to know what to get. A volume of a manga he likes? A gift voucher to a manga store? A small accessory like a pin or brooch. Anyway I always think you can't go wrong with food because it's useful and enjoyable. Doesn't matter the price of the candies, but if you're worried see if there's a fancier brand that makes these candies.

The one and the only precious queen of his own rosekingdom ♡ suddenly bought normal version of Chanton l'amour 「l'horloge」today, and can't stop joking about what if when I put together limited and normal versions, he will appear like an angel or something, haha😅 he has an instagram and twitter, but he said he want some privacy, that's why he's rarely with us... just like 20 years ago...

Yeah that's a good way to put it I guess.  Usually it's electronic/sample-based music with a slower tempo that evokes a dreary/occult atmosphere, but I've heard some stuff that could pass for trap music or goth-infused hip-hop.

There was a short-lived project by an underground Hungarian producer who dabbled in the latter btw, saw him a couple of times at local witch house parties, pretty cool stuff:

edit: Another Hungarian guy from the same scene, I don't dig his stuff that much but the "evil" atmosphere is pretty cool (he fronted a harsh EBM/aggrotech band before and it shows, heh)
