Compared to their earlier stuff, its pretty good. I myself was pretty "meh" about BORN, up until now.

Vigour Saw - I had my doubts about this band after the last few things ive heard of them, but compared to that, this is pretty good. The screaming seems to have gotten a bit worse though, it doesnt have the kind of impact id like. On the plus side, the instrumentation is great, nice start to this album. 7/10 Spiral Lie - Not too bad, a little too average to bring me back to it, but not something id want to change if it came on. Solid stuff so far, vocals are a tad dull though. 6.5/10 Jagan - Vocals are much better in this one, the pacing is pretty interesting, and it changes around enough to keep my attention. The chorus has a really nice impact on the rest of the song, probably one of the better tracks imo. 8/10 Bambina - Has this interesting swing feel to the riffs, the screaming still bugs me a little, cause I feel it couldve been done a little better. Not bad overall. 7/10 Face - A little slow paced for a Born song, but that makes it a little better imo. A little undecided on how I feel about this one, but I can't say its bad I suppose. The distorted solo one me over at the last minuet. 7.5/10 Touketsu - Pretty good ballad, love the solos, nice change of pace for the band. Wish I could hear this side of them a little more. 6.5/10 Grave Dancer Punish - Nice and catchy, love to hear energetic songs from any band. The chorus and vocals are awesome. 8/10 Gaga Sparking - The instrumentation is really nice, vocals are good too. This song makes a really nice atmosphere, hopefully born continues with kind of sound. 8/10 Jaggy - Nice hard rock sound, a bit heavier than most of this album. I personally have a bit of a soft spot for this kind of sound, thus my bias. 8.5/10 Gasp Code - Heavy, but with an interesting pacing/time signature. For once I approve of the screaming in a Born song(whats this?) but yeah..nice job guys. 9/10

Boo, this and SFP are my fav j-pop artists. I hope this won't end up being another awful disband for 2012 :/

Still a favorite of mine, so I hope they change their direction up a little. Not that I minded Genjitsu all that much, yes it sounded a bit like the rest, but when the rest is good, who care? Looking forward to this one

Everyone knows musics subjective, you might find them boring or bad, but I'm sure everyone has a different opinion of them. There should be at least a few tracks everyone likes, as is the case with most albums. I'm curious as to what direction, musically, they'll take.

I am sorry to say this but they are already one. Nahhh, deep six/Vegas are better songs than this new stuff, sure, but I don't feel they've gotten to that point yet.

Ive been waiting too long for this, here we go... 1. [Just Awake] - This song goes back to what everyone likes about F&LILV , intense upbeat lyrics with electronic undertones, and they don't fail to deliver. It opens with some nice mid-paced vocals, throw in a little bit of piano for the lulz, then moves on to that beautiful growling. It's almost as if the busted pac-man machine at your local arcade teamed up with a random Children of bodem member, and they went clubbing...this would be unintentional win in the morning xD ...needless to say, nicely done. 7/10 2. [break Out Your Stained Brain] - Honestly, this is probably the better track out of the two. Nice technical intro with some sweet guitar riffs, then they move onto a powerful screaming bit. What's so nice about this, is how it changes into almost dubstep at times. Old VG sound effects with overlaying screaming is just..nice. Then the piano/rock finish gives it a sort of epic feel. 9.5/10

Cant wait for this I hope it's at least something like Deep Six, I don't want them to become another Copy+pasta VK band.

1. The Cold Body - Not sure how I feel about this one, on one hand, I like all the little things happening in the background. On the other hand, the distorted vocals that I usually like about these guys is kind of overdone in this track. The riffs in between are nicely done, and further listens will probably make me come to like the vocals. 6.5/10 2. Sequential Soda - Much better than the title track, imo. Strong riffs, and the vocals are much nicer. This one changed my opinion of the EP instantly, after hearing the title track. Its a reminder of their old, hard rock sound that there're known for. 8/10 3. 人間の要 (Retake) - Another great sounding track, with a lot of variety in the vocals. Probably my favorite from this EP, the combination of rough/aggressive vocals mixed with softer, peaceful moments make this track very interesting. Hopefully they continue with this sound in future albums 9.5/10

I actually liked a lot of the tracks on "A 21g meaningless existence" Especially "The Red" Their last release was also really good, I can see them going somewhere.

I love this band, Chibi's voice is amazing. I think my favorite tracks have to be: Blue, In the Dark, Goodnight and Video Kid

Guys..guys..your missing some of the good stuff here. I think there was quite a few solid releases this year, stuff like: NoGoD - Genjitsu - I could say "Typical nogod stuff" where typical means "Really damn good" - worth some attention, id say. The gazette - Toxic - Probably one of the most anticipated releases of the year, at least on my end, and for a lot of people. Nothing I hugely disliked on it, and overall great Nightmare - Nightmare - Before this(and their Sleeper EP) I never paid attention to these guys, but this was a surprising release. Nice stuff. Para:noir - A 21g meaningless existence - Another nice vk band with some electro influences, they've left a good first impression on me for sure. Zuck - Noise World - I'm surprised I like any "pop-rockish" band, but the songs these guys just make me want to do an embarrassing little dance Exist Trance - True EP - True was a really good single, I don't think Ive heard anyone say they dislike it...probably my favorite thing Ive heard from them. Alice Nine - Blue Flame - Another "Pop-rocky" song I actually liked, one of their few "mainstream" songs ive enjoyed. There were a lot of good releases this year, just cant wait to hear from other bands like the new VII Sense stuff in feb.

I know he did solo work for a while but then he just sort of vanished..he said he was returning to the music scene but I havent heard anything else. Also, what about all the Deluhi members? That ones probably a stupid question but oh well.

As long as its better than The High end of Low it'll be good enough for me Really, nothings been as good as Antichrist Superstar imo.
