I used to hate most female vocals in japanese music, just for the higher pitch of their voices. I couldn't take most male vocalists who had higher voices either. But with anything that you take the time to dig into, I found more female vocalists who had lower registers or less nasal tones. And over time I got more acclimated to a lot of higher voices too. These days I'm more in the "idc as long as it suits the music" camp, but a lot of my old favorites are male fronted bands because of this and that still dominates a lot of my playlists. So I picked male because I think my listening charts still reflect a big male bias.

Yeah, the imagery gets me too, I love stuff like this. Radcliffe is so problematic for me because I didn't even like him in the HP films (I still love the films overall, though), but he's just so familiar because of them I feel inclined to keep up with his work out of some strange loyalty? I have no idea haha. I wanted to watch The Woman in Black at some point, so I appreciate the warning! XD But yeah, not everything about Horns is bad and maybe it'll connect with you on a different level than me. So go for it.

Horns (2014): I was really excited to see this since the trailers made it look like a dark, sarcastic comedy, but really it was so much fluff and bad acting that by the end I didn't even care what happened to the lead characters. The make-up and sets where nice, but Daniel Radcliffe didn't impress me and I wouldn't look into him as the lead in another comedy again any time soon. I would like to read the book this film was based on because the premise actually seems interesting, but I wanted less sugar-coated, horrible, generation Twilight supernatural love story and more horror-comedy. Felt like a total bait-and-switch. :/

I know nothing about it's reception by fandom/viewers so overrated or not... I have no idea. I don't want a lot of "new" anime because I always feel it's pretty erm... watered down. But it's one of the first things I've seen in my 'genre' for a while. Or maybe just got popular enough that I was able to hear about it. I'm about 12 eps in now... glad to know now not everyone hated it. I'm inclined to agree so far... it's kind of middle of the road for me, but just good enough that I keep watching. lol. I don't mind the main characters but the villains so far have been a bit of a letdown. The show does seem to give a lot away early so there aren't many surprises.I'm enjoying the back stories, though.

Um... no. A single is qualified over here as 1-2 songs. Maxi single being 3-4. So an EP (Extended Play) means it will have more songs than a single... this means typically 4-8 songs is the standard. The problem is people use the label EP incorrectly and often.
