Hello! Welcome to MH. I've been around the vk communities (especially back in the livejournal days) for a good number of years too, albeit under a list of different names lol. Glad to see not everyone has jumped ship! I also enjoyed a lot of Dir en grey, X-Japan, hide, GazettE, Janne Da Arc, ABC in my early vk life. Welcome! It's always nice to hear someone was referred here. You've come to the right place! For newer vk bands I like DADAROMA, ザアザア (Xaa Xaa), and one of my classic favorites is MUCC.

I hope they add American dates after that. But likely they'll just wait for warped tour again.

Definitely has it's own vibe from Uplift Spice. But sounds solid, I'll be checking out the mini for sure.

VK is such a niche market, most of the bands aren't making that much money. It's not that different for niche markets in any music genre unless you are the biggest band in that niche. And even then... Especially when labels are involved, you'd be surprised how many bands you listen to on the radio that make basically zero money on album sales, this is not just for Japan but everywhere. The thing that makes it worse in Japan is they are pay-to-play. Which means labels and livehouses run the racket and bands can only hope they sell enough merch to keep going. Every band is exploited, that's how the music industry works in general.

I was pretty disappointed by their last release. This weird live limited buy-2-get-1-free also sounds super gimmicky and doesn't give me a lot of hope for the future.
