Once again I came across some old Dir en Grey PV and thought I'd give them a milliont chance to prove me wrong, but no, sorry, they're one of the most overrated VK bands ever. The only really good songs that has come from that band is The Final, Increase Blue and Chain repulsion. Same with X Japan, only like Tears and Kurenai, rest is so amazingly boring! Sometimes I almost feel like people just agree to the hype of these 2 bands because you're supposed to if you like VK O_o

Can you link me to the japanese webpage, I'd love to read a bit

May I ask what rumours about Satsuki being awful there is, and also if you meant fucking with fans literally?Because the impression I got of Satsuki is the complete opposite...
-
Okey...that felt, very random XD regular people, regular people, Kamijo!, Japans prime minister!
-
I just checked his twitter and yeah it seems so after all! (unless it's for something else, like a live or something) he said they finished recording the rythms and that through perfection it is reborn and becomes a new song. I'm really hoping it means all the songs are re-recorded....
-
Seeing those livevideos reminded me, shouldn't Kamijo release a live DVD soon... Also, has anyone heard anything regarding the best of album, if it will be the old recordings or new?
-
Hmm, I've always been kind of split about his vocals...the first thing I heard was Node of Sherzo and Versailles, so I got used to that, then I came accross Lareine and he sounds so different there I began to think he sounded really strained in Versailles, like his voice is much lighter but he forces himself to go deeper down. and now I'm just split XD Feels like perhaps Lareine was his normal voice, and that might also be why he sounds a bit bad live. I went to his Halloween live though and I didn't think he sounded out of breath there...

Very curious what the HIDE-ZOU solo is like Also, does anyone know if foreign fanclub members acctually can buy the fanclub restricted items online? (since they don't ship overseas)
-
May I ask what that has to do with this? XD and also I have no recollection of saying I'm a fan of Kpop...I do like 1 or 2 songs though, but that's not what I call a fan...still think Kpop is kind of shit...(sorry for going off topic, I was just curious about the above)

Sorry for keeping this going but I just felt like I had to add something to this. As a swede, having to endure the "success" of yohio who's also a swede...in sweden -.-' I just want to add that the majority of his fans, here, are people who don't care for japanese vk or vk at all for that matter, they like him and whatever he does (and the other members of his former band seremedy), so I don't see how supporting them is supporting the japanese VK scene... I went to a live gig for a japanese act, and the band to play before was the vocalist of seremedy's new band, and most of the people who attended just wanted to see that, they didn't care at all for the japanese band (I felt so bad for them, I almost felt like telling them I'm sorry for them at the signing afterwards), so this new gaijin VK is like it's own genre it seems. I can't really say how it is overseas, because I get the feeling most who likes Yohio etc likes japanese vk too?

I went with the second option. It's almost a bit embarrassing thinking about the fact that I do feel uncomfortable for the moment that, as an example, Malice Mizer isn't higher on my list (I deleted all songs written in romaji and replaced them with the accurate title in japanese) so I might see my charts and feel like, maybe I should listen to a Malice Mizer album today...just to bring them up a bit. Not that I don't like them, just haven't been in the mood for them lately. About scrobbling the same song on repeat to make it go higher, I do scrobble some songs for hours but that's honestly just because I feel like it. I have a hard time listening to full albums and tend to just repeat the same songs over and over, especially when I've found something new I reallyreally like. ...and I do avoid listening to bands/artist which I only like 1 song of, it's annoying to have those on the chart

I haven't succesfully made any friends as much of a fan as myself, which is a bit sad because not that many around me are into VK, but I did make my older sister a Malice Mizer fan and my mom acctually enjoys some songs (she's really into Malice Mizer's Illuminati and Schwarz Stein's Queen of Decadence). I also introduced some bands to a friend who likes them slightly, but not to my extent.

oh yes... again, I'm sorry on the behalf of sweden, for doing shitmusic. Ever since Yohio it has become an embarrassment to say you're into VK, mostly because people think you're into Yohio and his fanbase concists of a bunch of 5-15year olds.... so everyone now thinks that VK has that kind of fanbase, EVERYWHERE. and everything is sooo "innovative" eventhough we who know VK know it's not...so yes, they'll think that cover is very stylish and new -.-'''

I think there's a very BIG different between chating and acctually meeting fans... In general I think most foreign fans are annoying... I've not been to one bigger event without hearing all these "fans" brag about how it was when "they were in Japan", or how this band "want their fans to do" this or that during lives. Also, since I never dress up when I go to concerts since you have to stand close to others and it usually get warm, I've got some nasty looks from those who dress up "accordingly". One MdM fan acctually told me (Online) that I wasn't a "real" mana fan because I don't wear his brand (which made me laugh out load, I've followed MdM and Mana for years and have almost a complete MaliceMizer collection) I have to agree about the Buck-tick fans though, I saw them several times in Japan, and they all seemed nice, especially the older people. But then again, in Japan many fans can get very defensive, especially if there's a foreigner there. I love Közi, and his fanbase consisted of about 10 people who came to every one of his gigs, and most of those just starred me out when they began noticing I also showed up for every gig. and they had no shame in always just grabbing the best spot infront of the stage eventhough I was just about to walk up there...

I checked Kiryuu out like 2 years ago and wasn't too impressed by their sound, but then I heard that preview and I have to say they impressed me now I need to get a copy of this single, but I'll wait for a download so I can decide which edition to get Also, I have to agree that it's a bit too much making 10 editions, but at least they're cheap. I mean D releases 4 editions and they all cost above 1000yen...

At first I felt a bit disapointed because I never thought of a re-recording, but if it turns out to be that it might get really interesting!
-
Where have people seen that the songs will be re-recorded versions? I haven't seen anything about it so I just assumed they took the songs and put them on this greatest hits
-
Yeah it was a bit expensive, but in case no one noticed Kaya added the information that the DVD will be sold through Hora's webstore and the first to order will get a bonus Momento Mori piano version CD which is signed. I've preordered so I hope I was fast enough to catch the bonus. Also the price is 4800 for foreigners (tax excluded it seems?)

Still feel a bit sad he always skips New Sodmy... what was it, did he play like 1 song from that band during the tour? Also, I hate when bands do this, and don't offer anything new because most people who like Kamijo will already have the albums these songs come from -.- so to buy (for the sake of collecting) or not to buy, that is the question...

I prefer male vocals in any kind of music. I really like dark and deep voices, but of course there's exceptions, I like the old band Kilhi+Ice and Tarachan has a really light voice and I still enjoy her singing style. But in general I have to admit I'm all about the male vocalists.

I have no idea what most of the bands are, except for yazzmad and Lady Gaga. yazzmad are amazingly boring, but Lady Gaga's Swine is a personal favorite. 1. Ér -SWAN 2. Klaha - Deatta hi no mama 3. Ér - Ethos 4. Velvet Eden - Enjoy the Silence cover 5. Blam Honey - ENITA 6. Britney Spears - Shattered Glass 7. Kaya - Chocolate Remix 8. D - Akumu Kurai 9. Onmyouza - Kumikyoku Kishi bojin ~Kikoku 10. Lycaon - Reibyou kou to Masochist (I'm suprised my computer shuffled this...bad, or good depending on how you see it, I haven't listened to any of these songs for long, and none are that good IMO)

I don't like to buy digitalmusic, I prefer cds, but I love the fact that every time I have to buy digital releases it's so ****hard! You'd think it should be easier to buy music than acctually download illegaly
